Sounds really good.So with the cef50 frame we can expect around 17kg bike and with light carbon 17.5
Where are you getting that 17kg assumption from?

Is it because this particular frame weighs 2kgs more than the CEF50 or something else?

It's not easy to get bikes light, trust me, I know.

LAnton's bike weighs 18.9kgs (congrats btw!), with some componentry that I'd consider wholly inadequate for my pedal bike, much less my e-bike.

I'll be lucky to get my Relay to 20 kgs. Real lucky actually.

But @LAnton s weight is with his diy 1500g battery? the regular 410wh battery with case weighs 2650g (claimed).
I have a ca. 17kg Levo SL with DH tires and from my calculations with the CEF50/M820/410wh you'll add around 1100g compared to the Levo SL frame+battery+motor. So not sub 18kg unless super weightweenie.

The M820 engine is noisier than the M510 engine. The noise of the motor is very clearly audible. The M820 motor is about 30% weaker than the M510. I didn't understand how to turn on boost 95N mode. I drove 29 km on a 360W battery at 100% power.

that's good. How about power delivery, is it smooth?
I didn't notice the difference between the M820 and the M510. I liked the way the M820 rides. For the last six months I have been driving the M510 with reduced power up to 70%. I had to get used to the new motor :)

Wow 70% is much. Do you think it's appropriate between the decrease in power and battery usage?

Did you figure out how to use the super boost 95Nm mode yet?

This feature should really be the key to this motor... separates it from the pack of the RS60, Fazua60, and EonDrive60 🤞

Well, I wouldn't get too excited about the 95nm and rather take it with a grain of salt. So M510 claims to have those 95nm, yet Bosch Gen 4 with the claimed 85nm has considerably more grunt, especially at low RPMs. Even m500 claimed to have them and I was really disappointed in the power delivery of that motor...

I haven't figured out how to turn on 95N yet. I'll try to find out on the weekend using the "finger poke method"

Don't electrocute yourself please.⚡😆

Hope you can discover it soon. That turbo burst mode should be an awesome distinguishing feature....even it's just 85-90 Nm +/-🤙

I'm sure you have already considered it. Have you tried both the DPC181 separately from the DPC245, since you have both?

Maybe turbo burst 95Nm only works with OEM DPC 181? Just curious.🤔

Also, well done on adapting the M820 to your M510 frame. That was a clever pioneering, modification!!!💪

You're our test pilot, so thanks for being willing to share your experiment...it's how we all learn.🤛

have you tried to see if the Bafang Go+ phone app works with the M820 using bluetooth? I wonder if the motor will be configurable from this or other app

I'm upset, they sent me a remote 244. I bought a 255 remote control together with the motor.
