My plan was to upgrade to Enduro Bearings brands in another 6 months. Should be 1500-2000 miles. I too have been bearings-suspect with my DIY frames.

However, I have my full-powered LCE004 from Light Carbon and fattie from Dengfu ....their bearings have held up well since 2021 and 2019 respectively. But I'm also mainly in dry desert terrain.

So i managed to get the lower link disconnected. This bearing takes most of the stress anyway. Typical cheap white chinese grease, have no idea what kind of grease it is. At least it wasnt dry. Sure enough, it was paint buildup preventing getting the link off. Not sure how they got it on but it cycles fine once in place.

The linkage was tight on mine too when I disassembled for my DIY paint job. I had to grease the insertion points to get back on with only minimal scoring. Fortunately, limited scratching to the thicker layers of base/clear coat.

The good news is that the tightness reflects the precision and frame quality spec'ing of the original carbon mould.

Anybody USA have a link to a good charger for the 36v 720wh battery off amazon or something? Ive been using the one for my E10/m600, but sold that bike and charge went with it. I never got a charger with my CEF50... Also the charge port sucks, rubber seal was gone first ride lol, probably need to replace it soon.

None from SZZS. @stuff made some 3-D printable grommets for the crease and rock flap if I remember correctly. This was last May on this thread...pages 30-40ish?

I'm going without, but could use a rock/dirt/mud flap if you find a source....

That edge is gonna cut your speed sensor eventually. And you will eventually add enough dirt in the frame it will be a 55lb bike again, lol jk. Ill probably just use some 3m mastic tape there with a slit for the cables

Dirt yes...but 700 mi and sensory cable good as new...could be just luck!

Its over here but my 48v can not connect to it. I use besst instead.

Mine seems to error out. I can adjust kmh and mph but not go into that window

Disconnect Go+ n motor and you can go inside to check out the functions.

So I'm opting to run a tyre insert in the rear, when running my CEF50 as a 29er.
But I've gone about it in a very unusual way.

Polyethylene Foam seems to work just fine. The weight increase of the rear wheel is negligible. But it does allow me to continue to use the DHR2 exo 2.4 tyre without sidewall tears and strikes.

And for £2.40, I'm not going to complain

Remember the bluetooth is supplied by the display. Nothing to do with the motor. The motor is connected to the display with canbus not bluetooth.

Nothing will beat 2.4 quids but I recommend Polish Flat-Out brand inserts (Home page - Flatout Bike). Very cheap compared to "big" brands, very light and for me they offer much better better protection than CushCore or Vittoria Air Liner. I use the "semi-core" set on 2 set of wheels and I'm very happy with them.

I have not used GO+ or Besst. As far as I understand if you can connect bluetooth, which requires the version3.0 245 display, and the app can connect to the display you can do everything the app offers with the motor connected, which is not as extensive as the Besst tool. But someone who has actually used them both should anwser.

Power is provided through the motor control unit through a bias supply most likely, that is why I ask. The motor unit has to be connected to the display.

Sure but the motor speed controller is in the motor, unlike some of the other Bafang motors with external speed controllers, and the computer/display controls the speed controller. With these units you don't touch the speed controller. All the options are in the display computer.
I have not even looked at the max speed because it is not a concern for me. I ride nothing but tight twisted single track and I never exceed the Euro standard. According to US vs Euro standard we should get bikes with the 25mph limit. But I suppose that depends a lot where the motors came from and what destination they originally might have been destined for.
Others here have played with settings. I am sure you will get an answer when some check the thread again.

Besst tool and besst Pro are good for diagnostics and changing firmware on motors (CANBus).

Nearly all of the parameters (in terms of motor tune) can be amended with the Bafang go+ app, provided the motor's firmware permits parameters to be amended via the app.

The M820 is one of the newer motors from bafang. So using either the dpc245.3 or the DP-E165, will allow the motor to connect with either bafang go+ or besst Pro.

You could argue that the besst pro software and besst tool are more for "dealers".

Neeko the question is can you change the max speed with the GO+ or only besst tool with a dealer password?
