I finished my build and got it out today… this thing is insane. The Avinox motor is cool and all, but honestly the bike itself is the star.
First thing I noticed was the 36t chainring — felt like I was stuck in the mud. Same thing trying to bunny hop around the parking lot. At that point all I had done was set sag.
Then I hit the trails and the bike completely came alive. Everything I felt in the parking lot disappeared. There’s this weightless feel I can’t really explain — super supple off the top, then it firms up perfectly in the mid-stroke.
The taller stack and longer chainstay are a huge plus for me. I felt comfortable immediately, and cornering is just dreamy. I wasn’t even trying to weight the front, and if one tire broke loose, the other followed (hard-packed sand here).
If you like jumping, you’re going to love this bike. That weightless feeling on trail is even more noticeable in the air — it’s ridiculously easy to move around. My Levo feels like a tank compared to this 181.
I’m on an RH3 with MX wheels and 445 CS. I’d definitely be interested to try 450.
