A stronger Bosch SX and improvements for the CX coming on July 14th

I haven't received the update myself, but other people are saying this:

"After performing the first update to get 750 W, the app shows no further updates. But if you tap the gear icon in the top right and then tap 'eBike update', you'll see a message at the bottom in blue about the power update. Install that update, and then you'll see 100 Nm."
I just did the same - the app prompted me to do the main update, but then had to go and do the second update to get the 100Nm option.

I tried that and it never showed up might take to dealer

Has anyone experienced problems installing the second update? It does show up but I get an error when trying to install even though all the requirements are met…

Ghost-Bikes (german brand, I Ride the E-Riot CF 2025 Full Party with CX5 800Wh) just told me on the phone, that I’ll have to visit my local bike shop (Bosch partner) so that he can connect it via his BOSCH-OEM-software to access the 100nm upgrade. The 750 watts are already there via iOS-Flow-app.

Reason is: When releasing/producing the bike Ghost didn’t allow that upgrade, so the bike shop has to quickly talk to the manufacturer to make a setting that allows the upgrade. Takes 10-15mins I was told. Gonna drive by tomorrow afternoon.
And maybe this circumstance also reflects the problems other users have with their bike (brand).

On my new Crestline S180 I’ve updated/downloaded the flow app twice after installing the update.
Also I get 750 watts but it’s still limited to 85nm on the sliders.
After months of anticipation and we get this frustrating update BOSCH.
What’s up?

I’m in the same boat as y’all. Took the update but nothing past 85 and no option to update further. It’s a crestline and they are definitely doing the 100nm.
I check again this morning and I am unable to update the motor to 100nm, also, deleted the app, reinstalled and still nothing. Have you had any luck with your Crestline?

I did the same this morning and I am not getting the 2nd prompt to update my motor 👎

Interestingly the app showed me the update. Then it didn’t work. After reinstalling the Flow app the update isn’t any longer available and not shown…

I am following this debacle ......fortunately not in respect of a gen5 update since both my motors are gen 4. I'm in the UK using Android and not only is there no update showing on Flow but the version I have is the same as on the app store (1.27.3). The update for gen 4 is an increase in assist from 340% to 400% and the addition of EMTB+ so not as extensive as the gen5 update but there are probably significantly more gen 4 in use than gen 5s .
It is about time Bosch entered the conversation!!

The android update was said to follow the iOS update by a week. So I imagine next week it should be available.

Yes, the update is not as extensive for the gen 4 as the gen 5 but you have to give Bosch credit for still offering some performance updates to a superseded product they are no longer producing.

Still no sign of any update on Play Store here for either my Gen 5 or Gen 4 bikes and from the Flow app. it says I am up to date with version 1.27 (3) I guess I will have to be patient.😣

I'm in the same boat as some of you, got the 750w upgrade and boy what a difference! However I cannot yet access the 100nm upgrade. I called Bosch customer service and was told this is a rolling update and it could take a day or two for the ability to power up becomes available.

Looks like you need to update your Flow app to Version 1.28, anyone know if this is available for android in the UK, I have searched but can't find it.
I have 1.27.3 (1101). With no update option for the app or the bike. This was after uninstalling and reinstalling. This looks to be another variable, the ability to even update the app to the proper version. I know app updates are available based on device and OS version compatibilities.

I strongly suspect the update is not yet rolled out to all regions and mobile service providers rather than being a variable or some specific requirement/criteria of your mobile phone or bike. I don't have it yet (still 1.27.3) and based on previous updates I don't typically get them until 3 or 4 days after others here have reported their availability!

I got the 750w upgrade today, but still 85Nm. Maybe i have to wait few days to get 100Nm?

I did the update and got the 750w, but the app still shows just 85nm. What am I missing? I thought it’s 100nm. Any input?

Seems to be a huge problem in random locations and regions ( me included). Apparently there’s a second motor performance update that increases the Nm, some people have it pop up, others don’t.
Frustrating and quite disappointing really after all the hype leading up to it 😏

I have a Scott Patron eride 900 tuned TR, from the UK, Samsung (android) phone, EE mobile network and still no app update for me yet...
