I did not yet see a post from @Kyokushin with the newest firmware so which one did you install 🤷‍♂️? Dont think you have the one i got from Chili or did i miss something?

Just looked on GitHub, its there:

@ficorama installed the firmware we all could'nt install. Only now he tried the new firmware as mentioned above and it was succesfully installed. he will update us on the perfomrance of the motor and will also tell us how the motor behaves under 35 % of battery capacity.

Now its time for the results! I updated my firmware today (Loaded to BESST, and after upload it immediately loaded to motor controller without disconnecting) and did a battery attenuation test starting with 47% SoC. Full power available until 20% SoC, then appr. 400W between 20% and 10%. Below 10% power reduced to 200W. I squeezed an unbelievable lot of capacity out of the battery, and riding was still ok between 20% and 10%. I climbed many loops of steep uphill at Level 5/5 to finally stop at remaining 8% SoC, and the bike was still ok to ride home. I‘m so happy with that custom tailored firmware, meeting my expectations by 100%. Motor worked flawless with no issues.

Great news, hopefully my spare motor will be here soon as negotiating with Bafang to get the other 2 repaired is very slow

Today my motor arrived but on the sticker is written that the maximum speed limit of 32km/h instead of 25km/h.
This is annoying if the police in Germnay check the motor.
Do your motors have the same sticker with the same maximum speed?

Does anyone have a higher resolution version of this CAD drawing or similar? It appears to be the CAD design of the motor mount point on the frame for an M500, which I believe should be the same for an m510. As I mentioned earlier, I'm having a custom frame built and I'd like to get the exact specs for the frame builder.

M500 and M510 are interchangable.

Hey guys,
did you see the bikes made by Berria. They do have aluminium frame claiming 3.1 kg.I really like it.Bikes are nice priced just check it out:
I already saw them, did already contact them if they have also a frame available but no answer at all 🙈🤷‍♂️. So i guess they are not interested in selling frames or just not so professional to answer customers questions 🤷‍♂️

When I choose 27.5" wheel size using BESST, it appears 27" on the bike display, what is the reason?
Or should I choose the wheel size 28?
My bike wheels are 27.5" front and rear

I can't comment specifically on the setup.

But wheel size isn't really the critical factor. It's tyre circumference. For example, you could have a 29 x 2.2 tyre, which has a near enough circumference to a 27.5 x 2.8 plus size tyre.

And a 27.5 x 2.3 tyre is completely different to a 27.5 x 2.8 tyre, even though they both use 27.5 wheels.

Looking at the first picture, there selection below wheel size is circumference. What happens when you adjust that???

My tire size is 27.5" x 2.6"
Circumference: 2243 mm

When entering this data, nothing changes on the bike display. It appears again that the wheels size are 27".
Even if I change the tire circumference to any other number, nothing will change.

m510 firmware.jpg Today my first ride on new M510 motor. I use the last firmware on githubvia besst tool.

RIde impression is very disappointed with the performance, motor assist make random cut off especially on light pedalling at level 1 and 2 on flat and small hill. On steep hill it give good power delivery at level 3/4/5 but not good at level 1/2 and sometimes also get sudden assist cut off. Very annoying on my ride today, i will try use first firmware.

I have replaced the BAFANG magnet with a weaker Bosch magnet with 2 stainless steel screws and hope this will stop the dropouts. I am satisfied with the battery management as far as I use a 14S battery and at 40% there are still 46 volts. A good value to reduce performance.

what is the distance between the magnet and the sensor? did you fit the dropout sensor on the e10?
