Velduro Rogue 170/165 mullet Enduro with DJI

Does anyone have an official fix for the motor creaking? Mine creaks badly. There were no shims installed from the factory. Bolts and motor contact points are greased and torqued to spec.
A video of the creaking is attached in the Google Drive link:
Speak to your dealer. Ask them for the top hat washers. They say to put them on the outside. However, put them on the inside. I used a very small amount of epoxy under the brim of the top hat washer. Bike was totally silent after that. Washers then also act as a shim too. As I'm on the M1 I also added the STFU chain silencer to the chainstay, reduced motor rattle at least 50% through reduced chain slap. I was pretty stoked with the noise reduction.

Has anyone tried a 240 dropper on a Medium ? Does it slam all the way down ?

You cant slam a oneup 240 into a large frame with 302mm insertion to a hard stop, would stick out about 23mm to bottom of dropper collar.

What spring weighs you guys have?

My 500lb at 88KG giving about 26% sag. Might need to go down a spring rate.

102kg currently 😬, came with a 575 sags to about 17mm on the shaft, so about 27%? Ive ordered a 550 to try, especially as i usually drop about 7kg over summer now im riding again.

why shouldn’t it?
There’s limited space at the linkage end to accommodate longer springs. For example mine won’t fit a regular Rockshox coil. Too long and hits the inner side of the linkage (in the PRO position at least)

First try will be a 475 with new rs and a 457 with the ttx22m.2 because of more damping from the öhlins Shock. Weight is naked 82.
for reference:
Ksl 65mm - 500 dhx2
Kenevo 65mm - 525 öhlins ttx22m.2
Levo Cascade Long Shock - 457 or 450 dhx2 and öhlins ttx22m

Bottom out with Levo Only on a fast, almost Flat drop. So all good.

so you put those inbetween the frame and the motor? or additional ones?

Does anyone have dimensions of the filling rings? And what material are they made of? Maybe order washers somewhere before the frame is delivered. Anyone else info about the European container that will be delivered? Cheers!

Hey rob,
How much is to long? Rs have 151mm…
Thx

Will a Sprindex fit?
For RS Vivid Coil original RS spring doesn't fit because it's too long, and as Rob said, it catches on the linkage—you have to tighten the preload adjuster really hard, to the point where the shock doesn't even work properly anymore.

I then tried the EXT spring, but you have to use spacers because the spring is too short.

The Sprindex fits best and works best—no spacers needed, the length is just right, and you can adjust the spring depending on the trail.

Thx for the Information. Sprindex is 142mm without preload. My ti spring is 146 with 2 preload…hope it fits in pro :/

I was told end of May…

The ext 75mm coil fits my E-storia with yoke clearance, so I imagine it could fit the vivid without spacers and clear the yoke 🤷‍♂️

@Rob Rides EMTB & anyone else. How did you set up your Transmission? I set it up according to SRAM in gear 6, setup key A, with a 124-link chain. But my shifting is bad, and in gears 7–10 my chain is jumping weirdly. Micro-clicks are correct.

I ran the same X0 setup on my previous bike without any issues. The chain is new due to the required length, and the cassette was replaced under warranty about 100 km ago.

Decent ride today to get my bike dialled in. In fact it was superb from the outset.

Suspension is excellent - small bump, bigger impacts, all excellently handled. Jumps with high confidence. Suspension in more poppy than I expected, 500lb spring helps so thinking I’ll just keep it (even though it’s a bit heavier than I need).

Rear suspension is well damped, ramps up quickly in the PRO setting and gives approx 170mm of travel in this configuration.

Running it with flip chip in 29er, with MX setup drops the BB a bit too. Handled some fast flat loose corners well.

There’s a little bit of noise from the idler, not bothersome, but noticeable over the other Avinox bikes I’ve tested.

Stack is low, so 70mm riser bars help a ton here. Was thinking of trying with 180mm out front to raise it up a bit, but rode so well today I don’t want to change the balance before I test it some more.

Had a fast blast today with a lunchtime charge to top up the battery.

Same as you if it was what the SRAM setup app advised. Sometimes it’s just something to do all over again.

Your mech brand new also?

Finally testing the right size for you Rob?

Curious to hear your opinion ne about the rear suspension - is it at the level of the Nikolai 4 bar with belt drive/mgu?

I am collecting my rogue next week, I can't wait :)
Yes. XL with the 450mm rear centre (longer seatstay)

Bike measures 450mm rear centre in 29er flip chip position. In the 27.5 position it measures around 446, so they must measure the geo in 29er position for the chart I assume.

No, I rode the mech for about 1,000 km with no issues at all. I have already set it up twice according to Sram. I’ll test the setup in gear 7. Maybe that helps.

Any grazes / nicks on the mech cage? In my experience even the slightest knock can put it outta alignment. Even if was working OK on last bike.

I made the Setup with a 36T Sram Chainring with 122 links in gear 6. In de Facebook Channel a few People from New Zealand postet this.
For me it works but i have to do it 2-3 times. Gear 7 was terrible.

122 links and a 36 Sram chainring kills the noise Rob. Im 88kg and run a 500lbs spring. Works spot on.

It does look a bit bland; still with the M2S and the longer CS it's finally got all of the things. Super nice bike.
