New 630Wh Shimano battery

So Shimano have announced a new 630Wh internal battery (and external but for the moment I’m focusing on internal as that’s what most bikes are using and also what I want to buy). Same shape as the existing but longer so can’t just remove the 504 and slot the new in. This seems strange to me after 2020 released bikes with Shimano system won’t be compatible to swap to bigger battery which I’m sure a lot of people would be interested in doing.
Have they just released a battery which won’t work on a lot of bikes or am I missing something here? Maybe being longer some bikes with internal battery housing could accommodate it providing the mounts were changed AND there was internal space left over? Can someone shed some light over here! ?

Welcome aboard, the reality is the technology isn't there yet to make larger batteries the same size as existing.
