At 178cm the L fits me just fine although its smaller than the S4 Status but a smidge which is noticeable. If I was 2-3cm taller I would want the larger bike thats for sure so the XL should fit you at 184cm just fine. It was hard work getting the bike, everywhere was selling out the following day so I had to be properly "on it" so to speak. For the money and the spec you get, is there actually anything with a Gen5 thats better value? I think likely not.
Thank you for the reassurance; It’s difficult to stop second guessing yourself. My decision was further reinforced by getting home and jumping back onto my Sommet 290 in a Large and it definitely felt roomier than the One77 did in Large. Totally happy I’ve got an XL coming, even if I have got to wait a couple more weeks now (bonus is that invisiframe is now available and so will be fitted before I collect) :)

I didn't have the invisiframe option when I got mine so I have gone ghetto with some car wrap that helps with avoiding stone chips. Its doing its job just fine thankfully.

Has anyone mounted hope brakes with braided hose on their bike? Is the hose diameter thicker compared to regular hose? Any issues with rear cable routing?

It’s a motor out job and the rear is a pain in the arse with standard lines for clearances so the braided at 0.2mm thicker or what ever they are may be a tight squeeze.

Swapped the forks for my existing Grip2 damper, new Hope Tech 4 V4 brakes with TRP 2.3mm rotors 220/200 front/rear, shimano XT 11S Linkglide, PNW bars, stem and 170mm dropper and added low speed adjuster to the rear shock. Finally PINND 140mm cranks and pink Deity pedals that the bike shop gave me for free.View attachment 159793View attachment 159794View attachment 159795View attachment 159796View attachment 159797View attachment 159798View attachment 159799View attachment 159800View attachment 159801
Hi, just a quick question: motor fixing bolts: what's the required torque? And is it T35? I've just ordered Hope V4s and while waiting for the parts delivery, I can prepare tools etc 👍

11nm apparently but I am not 100% on that.

Does anyone have a part number for the one77 motor guard? Yep mine has gone awol on a trail last night and I've only just noticed it gone (duh!)
Hi there,
See attached! 😁

It’s a standard T40, I don’t know the torque, sorry.
I only removed the front bolt and loosened the rear to pivot the motor out of the way with my V4’s.
Just be careful with the chain stay “guide”, it has a back piece that lives inside the chain stay. Silly design.

Yeah it’s original. I believe it was set up wrong from when I bought it. It did rub on the wheel from the start and I had to cable tie it to the frame to stop it rubbing. Going to try warranty for a new cable disk and pad. Otherwise I’ll look at upgrading it.

After some rides my bike creaks like an old wagon ... :devilish: .Shop says they have to disassemble shock linkage and grease it.

Mines creaking as well so I shall be removing bolts and adding assembly grease. It creaks like its dry which is very poor for a new bike.

She is low!
How much was the guard? Did you buy a new charge port cover too….. 😁

I've just joined the club with a white (Desert Stone) SLX, which will replace a Gen2 Levo I've had for 5 years. Decided I'd give it some frame protection, usually use Invisiframe but they don't seem to be offering a 177 kit yet, so I went with RideWrap, more expensive than a typical Invisiframe kit, otherwise seems much the same.

Converted to tubeless and took it out this evening for a shakedown ride, first impressions are very good, except as others have said, it needs shorter cranks. I'll get some ordered.
