Bafang M560

Not to water. ;)) Check connectors, clean them. You can check PCB boards in motor if not oxidated. Usually it is doing that small board with connectors. Thats a cheap one, you can start with this one, if wont help then controller.
Hope you have tried spare dispaly and buttons first.

Guys, what the hell is this again? Bafang just renumbering on a webpage?
Have somebody seen M560 with official 27A firmware? There was so far only 20 and 25A.

Also assistance is up to 500% and with RS even up to 1000%

I've truly never seen a company be so terrible with publishing information about their products. Every month there's new stats, a new revision, some new altered version coming out. Everything from the physical motor to the firmware running on it is a convoluted mess of different information everywhere you see it. Loud version, updated quieter version, "slient" version, all under the same name with only hard to find hardware versions separating them.

You right, I am also loosing it. And what mess they do with labeling. It is strange, when reading version registers from motor, it is still other way with every motor. Looks to me like every motor is developed under brand new dev team. ;)

But I hope this "new" 27A firmware will show up in next batch of M560.

So I introduce a competition, who will get 27A firmware first. ;) Already asked Chili to ask Bafang about this.

27A will be peaking 1340W electrical (cca 1080W on a wheel).

Please help, due to medical issues I am Fitting an M560 to the CEF 69 frame, I have ordered the 130 X throttle and I have in the bike the 1T3 wiring harness, I want to Order the SS01 gear sensor to stop the power for say .5 s under shit so you dont get that big noise as it say changes to the 10 t rear sprocket. I think I need the 1T2 cable as well. can someone advise if they can how this wiring with throttle and gear sensor will look like

It is a cable for 3rd motor connector (speed sensor connector). Which forks to speed sensor and shift sensor connector.

My motor broke again. Last time at 3k km and new motor broke at 2.1k kms. Exactly the same way. This time it's under a warranty and will be sent to Bafang center in Poland

What have failed?
I managed in 800km. ;) But spare gear 30 Eur, so it is fine.

No clue yet. I guess the stator side has a nylon gear somewhere and it failed. I sent the motor to Bafang in Poland. Takes about week to get there.

No nylon in M560. No assistance? Or you hear rotor going when pedalling?

Then I guess it's the one way bearing.

Same problem as I stated with my previous motor. However this time it got worse. When I use the pedal assist or thumb throttle I can hear the motor spin but nothing happens.

Yes, same as me. That one way bearing can not hold that power.

Hope Bafang will learn from this and will strenghten this bearing in RS.

Was a pain. ;) As they did not have this gear as a spare in the begining.

Would be maybe faster to get spare gear from Chili and replace by yourself. That Poland has turnaround even over month.

Do you have the link for the part?

Well let's hope it's faster.... The motor is under warranty but Chili says postage is not part of the warranty.. So I had to pay for it myself to ship it from Finland to Poland.

I think Bafang motors have 1 year warranty but chili said they give motors 2 year warranty. No clue what happens if this motor breaks after Bafang warranty is over. Last motor I bought from GreenBikekit and I don't this I will buy from them again. This motor was from Chili. Chili was much cheaper and also said they have 2 year warranty.

We need someone to start making and selling this mod

I still dont understand your motivation. And why you shouting this everywhere. "Innotrace belongs to people..." omg. Innotrace was a company of liars and cheaters. I have my own experience with them.
Also dont understand what you hiding and why you under different name on each forum.

Try ask Chili about that gear.

Broken roller and cage.

Do you want to make Innotrace M560 or Innotrace M620 CAN controllers? It looks like there are people would like to have them. You can name them different if you want to, you can call them K1 for instance, we do not care.

You know, how it is. I have joy from my products and not a company. I wanna make my own FOC code. It is not difficult now with LLMs. ;))

That's OK, just use the existing Innotrace controllers hardware and write your own code for them so you can focus on your own FOC code. It is even better - people will have a choice to use the VESC firmware or your firmware on the same hardware. The new Innotrace hardware is thoroughly tested and proven it works without issues so you do not need to make this big chunk of work, just your own FOC firmware.

I see this point too. At the moment I ride still my first Innotrace X1 motor and it works fine. Some more controller Tuning options like the now availible VESC controller would be great. Whats at the moment the best m560 FW ?

We are currently working on the new unified VESC based INNOTRACE Shrimp controller that would fit most of the motors on the market from the biggest M630 to the smallest M820, and of cause it should fit M560 and not only Bafang motors. It would make more sense to make FOC firmware for that hardware to cover the most

Has anyone tested the new m560 version with firmware 1.6? It’s supposedly much quieter than previous versions. Has the torque sensor been improved as well?

How does it compare to the m560rs, which features the new speed sensor and traction control system? Is the torque sensor in the RS better than the one in the m560 with firmware 1.6, or are they the same?

Word is that Bafang has also released firmware with a 27A current limit—does anyone know anything about it? Which m560 versions will it be available for?

I’m still debating whether it’s worth upgrading my old m560 motor with an Exforce controller (to get better torque sensor performance and potentially more power), or if I should just go for the 1.6 firmware version or the RS instead.

I have the new 1.6 firmware below, but haven't had a chance to test it yet. Knowing Bafang, I suspect no one has a changelog for them :)

Firmware isn't going to fix noise, you'll need the new hardware version of the motor they just released to make it quieter. The M560RS is apparently being abandoned by Bafang so I wouldn't bother looking too far into that, word is it's already discontinued.

Guys, little off topic. But is interesting.

Check this page, there is alreay M2S. E-Bike Motor Power Test - Who is the strongest? | E-Bike Lab

Looks like it is peaking 1200W, which is really great for such a small motor. Thats exactly power of M620!
Edit: It has really 1500W peak at 100 rpms, more power than standard M620. Unbelievable.

1776117578467.webp

And this even more interesting. The trick how they reached it. They going to quite high temperatures - 120 degre C according notes. Thats really high temperature. And as he stated you can have a burn (also happend to one customer with M600 rev.B - it went even higher, but I think that was failed thermal management with this motor).

And what is remarkable from this graph, it looks like motor did not even started to limit power at Turbo! Wow. Decreas of power is caused by lower battery voltage after 20mins.
Specialized motors are going to const. power, so can hold the curve flat.

Would be great to measure also input current and voltage, to calculate efficiency of motors. And to stick a thermistor on the rotor casing to have also temperature in a graph. I like graphs. :) Good job DJI!

Battery temperature can be a limiting factor with old FS800 batt. Quite quick reached thermal limit. But thats normal with enclosed cells without cooling. Unbelievable jump of power comparing to concurence.

Of course I couldnt sleep and been thinking about new Avinox. ;)

Found a german YT channel and M2S really has 1500W peak. Measured 1450W on a wheel at caddence 100 rpms. Thats out of this World!

So I combined power characteristics. And what an interesting outcome. (and also LLMs are magical, I just put two jpgs and it combined it for me in 2 prompts. Magic. And went over Python!)

M560 vs M2S Power vs RPMs.webp

What a coincident, that curves are exactly matching till 65 rpms. Then Bafang is limiting (25A max) at that 1000W mechanical.

Adding also sources:

Bafang dyno curves. From Bafang M430 catalog.

That is peak 45 Amps at 36V DJI battery! Wow.

We will need 30A into M560 to catch up. ;)
