Bafang M560

I use this shift sensor and its exactly like how u described it, I actually got rid of it after using it for 800km's because I started finding it annoying that the power would just cut off completely. I was never reaching continously 1250w or 500w for example.

Once I shifted late and there was an obstacle coming the motor power would cut off and that 0.5 second cutoff would be enough to get me to a stop, due to being in the wrong gear at the wrong time. Def a skill issue tho.

For now I won't use it but later on I might re add it to just have less wear on everything.

I found it annoying too, I had it for a bit on my original hard tail BBSHD conversion I did, but I never put it on my current bike. Just found it unnecessary with the T-Type transmission.

i have found very compelling thread on ES concerning FOC Open Source Firmware for Bafang CAN bus controllers with GD32F303 processor which is M560 as well. The problem is there are very few users and it is for 52V battery (14S) I am very curious if anybody from this thread uploaded this firmware to the controller with 48v battery and how it works??

The software is fully configurable via Canable Pro. You simply set the 48v.
Everything is described on the project website. It's really not that difficult to read. After installation, it's worth setting the maximum current to around 22A if you want the power to match the original. If you want to test more, you can set it to, for example, 28A (I don't recommend overdoing it, as this setting already gives over 30A at peak, which slightly exceeds the set limit), which gives around 1600W. If you also want the motor to stop working immediately after stopping pedaling, it's worth setting the pas timeout to 0.2s.

Any expierence with that firmware of my new 560 ? I have the problem that I can’t set may params like voltage

Firmware F801032.4

Any downgrade possible ?

Neon, what you mean to set voltage? You can not just set voltage.
It is about 43V firmware, but is not existing for M56 yet.

But you can use 48V firmware with 27 Amps and use 43V battery with BBR. Will work just fine. (Peaking then 1210W electrical)
Same with 36V battery. (Peaking 1030W electrical)

And how to set the cutoff voltage for the battery when I use 43V

It is set in a BBR device. You can go down to 2.85V per cell. Check www.k1ebikes.com

You can try Canable software, they have discovered how to manipulate bin file. I am not a big fan of bin manipulation.

Sorry for the question but what is a bbr device ? I am using canable pro an there i don’t see an option
