2026 Santacruz Bullit Owners - Setup - Tricks - Discussion

I already experienced main of the noises this bike is having.
- Headset lack of grease
- bosch plastic display on the frame
- e13 rubber protection on the right crank arm.
Recently, a new one appeared. I thought it was a bosch monting motor issue. It was like a cliking noise at every pedals strokes. At the beginning it was not inquisitive, but it began louder.
Ultimatly it was the One-up seatpost. The hydraulic cartrirdge was not properly screw (top and bottom). it was lose and was creaking so much. hope it 'll help.
hello mate, which bit do you grease for the plastic backing plate; the plate what sits into the frame or the system controller that sits into the plate? or both haha?

Hi everybody,
I've had my new Bullit for a few weeks now and yes what an awesome bike.
I can hear a knocking noise coming from within the frame when descending on chunky terrain.
I've tried to replicate the noise when it's stationary but I can't. Taking it back to the bike shop seems pointless of i can't replicate the noise.
Anyone had similar issues please?
hi mate, i’ve got this too. Noticed on second ride when hammering down chunky tech. I am quite an aggressive rider too. Have you sill got yours knocking? I’ve taken my bosch controller off and grease the plate etc but haven’t rid it since as i’ve got a bad shoulder from falling off the other night haha

Yes it was the headset, it wasn't loose to feel but I loosened it off and regreased it and it's silent now! So thankful after my previous Bullit was so noisy with the Shimano motor. Good luck and hope it cures yours

Also, just to add, I'd be keen to know how you're getting on with the Mavens? They feel great but the pad wear is terrible, it's so uneven. One end of the pad is worn down to the spring and the other almost no wear.

i’ll get mine done tomorrow and hopefully that sorts it, cheers mate! Yours all fully silent now then?

hi mate, all good so far but only 3 rides in. I ran codes before but swapped them for hayes brakes but the mavens feel a lot better. Next time you fit new pads try bring your contact adjuster in slightly then when the pad is wearing back it out to account for the wear, if that makes sense? I also tend to wear my back brake faster than my front

Hallo, i need help for the B-gap regulation of a SRAM 90 t type, someone can tell me the right reference cog for this frame in size medium?
I tried to download the SRAM app for the T-Type, but it asks me to connect the derailleur via Bluetooth because it's designed for electronic, not mechanical, shifters.
Thanks

In addition to frame size you need the flip chip position (low or high) and the chainring size (34 or else).

For size M, low and chainring 32 or 34 the setup key is A, the chain length is 118 and the setup cog is 21T (7).
For size M, high and chainring 32 or 34 the setup key is B, the chain length is 118 and the setup cog is 21T (7).

Starting to finish up my Bullit. What a machine it is.

Wish I could get it in this colour without having to pay a fortune for stuff I’d swap out right away.

I love the color! It’s really not a bad deal for the extra stuff and the way cool paint job. But the jury is out on the podium fork . I have an XO RSV TEAL. Weigh a Terlum and a Push 9.1 Coming next week

My mate in the US did a bunch of testing with the Podium, he had it a few months before it was released. His verdict was not to buy one in its current state.

I’d basically just use the frame and the brakes, everything else would be changed. Makes the most sense to just buy the cheapest version in my case but I love the paint job on this one. My mate was saying that the US is getting 50 of the 100, he’s got a M and a L inbound. That only leaves 50 for the rest of the world!

How are you guys liking your Fox float X2v I have fox float on mine and trying to decide between that and a coil. Pretty impressed with the float x but would like a coil for some rougher dh trails

Hi everyone, I just joined this wonderful forum because, after more than 30 years, I'm getting a renewed desire to ride a mountain bike. I immediately have a question about 2026 Bullit: do you know if it's possible to install (or order with) the Bosch Kiox 400c display? I see it's available on the Vala and also on Bullit Podium version. Many Thanks
P.S. Sorry for my grammatical construction, but English is not my native language.

I had the Fox Float, then the Fox Float X2 which was a take off from a new 2026 bullit which was an improvement. But as with all other Float X2's I have ever had it was inconsistent at different places I was riding at.

I picked up an EXT E storia coil and now it feels like it has 170mm in the rear and is consistent every time I ride.

I am 235 lbs so that may be a factor with the air shocks, for lighter riders it may be different

Yeah, it's a direct drop in replacement.

I've seen a few things around with Bullit and Vala where the mini controller has left marks on the top tube where users have swapped them out for the kiox display :(
Following as I’m concerned about this too. I may lift the cover in advance to see. I’m not sure my OCD could take any marks, regardless of how better the display may look!

That really sucks. I would've imagined the outer dimensions are the same between the mini and 400. But as I look at various youtube videos I see that frame cutouts vary across manufactures. I haven't seen a Santa Cruz swap.

Sizing question for my Lady here. 5ft7. Rifes a Kenevo S3. 470 mm reach. So I was thinking about getting her a Large Bullit. Any thoughts appreciated
