Is your Avinox phone app on the latest version? It looks like there may be an incompatibility between the phone app and the latest bike software version.

my new ride after the latest fix disappeared when I tried to stop and sync and the next time I started the bike I got a battery error, they need to up their software game big time

Had the also an issue after updating on Firday. Battery not offical error message code 0x27030021, but the bike works fine

Wow, that is concerning! It is an odd place for a crack. It is near the heavily stressed mount area where the upper link connects to the frame, but usually if the mount can't handle bottoming events the crack runs around the mount, not vertically up the seat tube. Having said that, I have seen a vertical seat tube crack or 2 before on other brands of bike, so it's not totally unheard of, and we also don't know what their layup schedule is for their carbon plies. It could be that there is some sort of an overlap in that area that didn't get sufficiently overlapped, or something like that, so it ended up being the weakest point in the chain and took too much stress as a result. Have Amflow given any indication of how they will be handling the issue yet?

Same here, did you fix it?

No, Amflow support recommends make an udpate to latest firmware 01.03.0217, I did it already in the meantime, but no change. All rides recorded after update 01.03.0216 are not possible to open and sync to Strava.. Shit....

Update from today (Tuesday 23rd)
I have another observation - after last updating to 01.03.0217 data recording stopped working entirely. I went out on a ride and started data recording, just like I’ve done a thousand times before. Everything seemed fine; when I finished the ride, I stopped the recording and confirmed it - just like I’ve done many times before. And that’s it... Data didn’t transfer from the bike to the app on my phone. I tried everything possible and impossible, to no avail - simply nothing… The ride just disappeared… So I have to say that since the last update, instead of fixing bugs, they’ve just been piling up. This is really crazy and frustrating, instead of improvements, it’s getting worse and worse. It’s one big mess, and data recording has now become completely non-functional.

had that happen as well - then deleted the rides that couldn't be opened and started a new (very small) ride just to check and it worked fine - was a really short ride though

I tried it also. Works !! Important point is to delete all rides which are not possible to open from the list at first. After that syncing rides to the phone and Strava works..

@Amflow_Support I had this problem on my AMflow PX from yesterday after 2 successive updates that popped up. Switching the bike off/on few times help but I'm afraid this error will re-emerge and cut the motor power in the middle of a ride. I opened a ticket via the app, but apart from this tracking id didn't receive any email confirmation. And there is no way to follow up this tracking id. The bike are brand new and amazing but this issue is very frustrating, and no support response so far.

There's nothing wrong with mine. These are from our community. They're still waiting for a response. A separate thread has been created on the forum

I note some people are having the same “Unofficial Battery” error notifications as my friend with his new never riden Amflow PX.

An update hasn’t solved the issue.

Any thoughts and advice? Are people able to ride their bikes?

I contacted AMflow support via their chat, followed by emails. They were responsive, acknowledged the issue and explained it's indeed related to the update to 3.217 update. The informed me that Avinox works on a fix update. Indeed 3.219 was released yesterday. I installed it and looks like it solved the fake battery error. I'll keep watching it doesn't reappear. Good service!

The latest update 01.03.0219 seems to have solved the problem with the “Unofficial Battery” notification.

My friend who owns the PX told me he was very disappointed in Amflow Customer Service response with the constant back and forth and lack of honesty in admitting it was a firmware problem.

I just tried the new version (01.03.0219) on my M1, and unfortunately it still has the "new" issue where it doesn't record your rides anymore. After you finish a ride and press "Stop and Sync," the ride activity disappears.

I guess they were more concerned about making sure the new bikes didn't show the "wrong battery" at Eurobike than fixing the other "minor" issues.

For clarification purposes am I to understand that Amflow support from China, the company that started this support thread, has vacated it and it's customers?
Yes, that is correct. @Amflow_Support started the thread and was admirably responsive on it up until the beginning of 2026. Then the stopped answering, which was very disappointing. Even worse, they did not seem to make any sort of official announcement as to why they would not be participating further. They made a sudden return to emtbforums a few weeks ago in a different thread about a guy who was struggling to get a refund after cancelling an order, and I directly asked them if that meant that we could expect them back for further support and Q&A, but they didn't reply, so it seems they were just trying to do damage control to keep people from being afraid to place orders. That suggests they are monitoring the forum, to some degree at least, which makes the lack of response all the more disappointing. Hopefully they are making up for it with steller quality support through their direct support channels, which is something that I've been trying to get a feel for, based on user reports here.

Slightly off topic, but I've been following these firmware issues and error messages that have been discussed recently with interest. Can any of you Amflow or Avinox users tell me, is it possible to disable updates in the app and bike? Basically I am wondering, if I have a good working configuration, can I just opt out of automatic updates, and just keep my old firmware and app version indefinitely? If there is a key feature or something that they add, I would certainly consider a manual update at that time, but I get really pissed off when auto updates with no perceivable improvements end up messing up a system that was already "known good".
