OMG! This bike is so fucking fast! My old bike was a gen 4 Bosch CX Race, which I thought was fast. But it pales in comparison to the Plaid! And mine is 46.5lbs with the 800w battery! I just did a quick rip up and down the street. I’ll take it on its maiden voyage tomorrow to get the shock dialed in.

I am curious as to how it rides compared to your Pole Vioma K1...since I have a K0.

I didnt cover the extra hole in the downtube, but I am thinking about putting tape or something over the hole above the motor, under the shock. I got a quarter sized rock up in there yesterday and was able to get it out before it fell down into the motor area.

Its for the 600wh battery (and I believe 700wh for RH3/4). The 800 bolts in under the display. 600/800 share the same hole at the bottom, and the 700 uses a different hole at the bottom.

Onyx Classic hubs with the hooks for the BERDs, and derby rims. 35i rear, 30i front.

Ill have to double check as the order just says Berd spokes.

Its hard for me to give a real opinion on them because I am also running the magic mary radials and this new bike. This is a first for me on the radials. I’m sure all the things I am feeling are due to several factors. That said, my first impression is that they feel crazy comfortable over rough stuff. I hate to use the words, but compliant was my first thought.

At some point, I am going to swap between my two sets and try to get a better idea of the feel, and if its worth it. My other set is Vespers/tr37’s with Sapim D-light spokes. So only difference is the spokes. 😁

Bike looks so good, and with the Onyx hubs I know it sounds good too!

I also run the Time pedals for decades now, they just work forever regardless of mud and lack of maintenance. (y)

How do you like the Shredda's do these get you up some hairy loose techy climbs that other tires would normally slip away on? I have a few super steep bits on my trails that seem to need something like the Shredda to make it up.

Oh yeah, I just ordered the new Tacky Chan radials for a bit more grip too!

When I first tried radials, it was just the front wheel and the best way I could describe it was that on the small bumps, it felt like I had taken 2psi out of my fork. small roots like 1" out of the ground all but disappeared as far as feel through the bars go.

Pretty soon we aren’t going to feel anything. We now have more compliant grips, bars, stems, coil like forks, compliant rims and spokes and now compliant radial tires! What does this all add up to…?!?

I'm more than happy to not feel a bunch of useless trail chatter, let alone get pinged off of it. Outside of the small bump softening, those tires provide a ton of positive feedback. It's like getting only the info you want.

I thought about starting off with radials but decided to start with Maxxis so I can compare the Crestline with coils all around to my current bike. Radials will happen at the next tire swap!

Feels like riding on carpet, they also roll like you're on carpet too. Doesn't matter that much on an eeb or DH rig but I recently put some Contis back on the trailbike and it was night and day in rolling speed vs. my trail radials.

Interesting. I'm on a mid power 170/170 coil sprung eeeb in FL and I didn't notice anything with speed or power usage or effort changing.

I like the radials for wet roots and rocks we have in PNW but in the end, way too much rolling resistance and tire squirm even running them at 30/32. Went contis for the first time. Seems like they need some break in time first. Very fast tire so far IMO.

The Contis feel very wooden when they're new and do break in after some miles. I don't have as much confidence on the KRF as other tires but the rolling and weight make up for it.

Not sure what you run your 'normal' tires at, but if you're feeling squirm, I'd probably keep jacking up the pressures.

I'm probably 240# kitted up and on my DH bikes I was running michelin DH at 23f/25r, maxxis DHF/R 28f/30r, and 33f/36r for the albert radials. My buddy, about 15# lighter) who's quite a bit faster than me said he ended up at over 40psi in the back to keep it from rolling over and despite the seemingly high pressures, he still prefers it to standard carcass tires.
 
Nice chopper Rob (y) I'm leaning that direction for park days. Maybe go with Ohlin's...

Cascade sells a 200 link I assume?

I'm curious for the lazy ones or those not wanting to swap the shock how it would ride without changing compression... I'd imagine that additional 20mm wouldn't be all that helpful without a change. I don't see the suggestion of a retune for 161 vs 181, but I'm not sure if the increase to 200mm surpasses some threshold?

Good to see it still works with a 29", i figured mullet might be necessary, is there a CS length minimum for the wagon wheel?
