New CEF69 bafang m510 and bafang m560 and cef50 bafang m820 frames

Ordered Cef69 on Medium, 180cm height, fingers cross this size is right for me, Im size Large on Transition spire which is my favorite analog bike, so excited to build the frame soon!! Cheers!
Just an FYI- I am coming from a large spire also and got a large CEF69. I felt like the sizes were comparable between the two bikes and the reach is almost the same. I'm 6ft for reference

I am 177-178 cm and love my size medium. I think you will be fine and can always adjust you touch points by moving the seat, stem length, bar height, etc. if needed.

I'm only 170 and on Medium.
@Bozzma

I'm sure if you have the Fox 38 you will be using X2 make sure the frame is updated or it won't fit. at moment 2025 X2 just fits only 50% stroke, 2026 X2 no way unless frame is updated on Med frame as the Can size is 2mm bigger.

Also i think frame fits 200mm dropper, i have 125 and its enough for me

Thanks!

I have:
Fork:
2023 PERFORMANCE SERIES 38 FLOAT 29 170MM GRIP
It has the wider E-bike ready base. No E-tuned shim-pack. I might change to compression stack to E-Tuned.
Shock:
2023 PERFORMANCE ELITE SERIES FLOAT X 2POS-ADJ
It is 55mm at its thickest point.

Frame is V3 according to the documents I got from Jean.

Would that work?
Those are OEM parts and I got a good deal on them.

Enlighten me about the dropper: isn't a lower drop better? I never had one.
If the dropper extends 180mm, I probably need it all the way down in the frame tube.
Don't know if the tube is deep enough for a 180mm dropper on the M frame.
I better wait for the bike to arrive and then test it with a normal seatpost.

Thanks!

what model are you using?

Its a front fender, but works very very well as a rear one.

Thanks!

The dropper post when it says 200mm or 150 it raise and drop that much, so really up to personal preference how far you want it to raise or not.

I only seen it on EMTB but when i talk to Jean they offered me sleeves like everyone is doing here, i said no good enough as still hits on full stroke, See on X2, Vivid, Ohlin all big ones the can moves rather then the stroke on Factory x.

I offered pay for shipping give me new frame (thats good offer as non i have done wrong) I even said i would help pay new linkage, I think easier to just tell me to use sleeves.

I'll keep everyone updated.

Apologies but what is the “sleeve”
Solution?

Finished my build. Issues that I had during my build.. had to order a longer xt60 cable, magnetic wheel sensor not lined up, had to use double sided tape. And then today I broke the derailleur hanger just trying to remove my back wheel. Looks like the upper part of the hanger is made of plastic.. Ordered a Zitto hanger for replacement.

sucks to hear about issues albeit minor but build is looking great and not sure if its the lighting but that blue looks particularly good

Was looking at gold stems. What is the one on your bike?

Ordered CEF69 just wondering what is the recommended drivetrain for this is 12 speed recommended?

You can run what you want but im trying xt linkglide cuz its relatively cheap and ive heard good things about durability. 11 Speed.

I'm waiting on pair from Miranda 150mm But can't tell Quality as i'm still waiting for them.
Miranda is used as OE for Batavus. I would say they are good, but someone mentioned they bend easy.

I would say the 11 CUES would be the sweet spot. It uses a beefy chain, all steel cassette. Link-glide tech. The 12 speeds use a thinner chain, less sturdy cassette.
I opted for the 10 speed Cues as it should be more precise shifting over an 11 speed. But the range of the 11 speed is wider, so you can use a larger front sprocket to get more V-max while still having the same 1st gearing. If I would buy things again, I would get the 11S. 9/10/11 speed all use the same chain and sprocket width.

12 speed is hard to justify when having electrical assistance while it is sacrificing robustness.

This is what ChatGPT made of my frame with some orange accents. I now feel bad I did not go for the Kashima coated stuff from Fox :-)

Anyone has M510rs setup already? as apparently not really stable and software/firmware glitches?

I can confirm, my miranda M620 aluminum cranks bent very easily, I went through two sets at nearly $100 a set. I'm very very happy with my alibaba pedals.
