Cube one77 2025

Surely the update is nothing to do with Cube, but Bosch themselves?
Yeah, it’s Bosch rather than Cube that deliver the update. Last I’d seen in the bike press is that it needs a Bosch Flow app update; apparently coming to iOS on 14 July, but there was some talk of it taking longer to get to Android for some reason. That could all be bike press BS and Bosch may get it out on all platforms today, but I bet it won’t happen until all of the US are up and in work at the earliest….

The gen 5 update is available via iOS for the motor. You need to update the app first via the App Store then update the bike when it’s connected.

Android app mentions the extra power with a "July" update, but I don't see anything new in the modes after the update. I was one upgrade behind so I guess I only got the June one. Another weeks of waiting :(

The andorid update was to come a week after the IOS update I think. So you won't have it until 21st.

it sounds like some android phones might be getting the update. I would say it's worth checking the App Store for a Flow app update.

I've just updated android app and the bike!

I found that after updating the Flow app, then installing the software/firmware to the bike (which failed a couple of times before it installed on the bike), I only had the power increase from 600-750 watts but not the torque increase from 85 to 100Nm. I had to go back until the software update screen on the Flow app, and lurking there at the bottom of the screen was a second option to install a ‘performance’ update. Selecting that then installs (in 15 seconds) the torque increase.

Good to know that, cheers for the heads up 👍🏻

Just updated mine on iOS. Don't use the Flow App for the update. I did and it said I had the latest version. Go to the App Store and search for the Flow App. It will say "UPDATE" next to the logo.

I have set EMTB+ and left it as 650w/85nm
I changed TURBO to 750w/100nm

Will see how they compare later.

Borrowed an iphone to do the update, as above the 100Nm setting was a second short update.

I set emtb, emtb+ and turbo as modes, I don't see any %assist setting, so hoping emtb is still 320 gradual, emtb+ is 400% gradual and Turbo is 400% linear.

Got an apartment booked for 4 nights in the Alps this weekend, it's going to be great. Have preventively bought a spare chain just in case (along with spare wheels)

I did the same, and I'm going for a test ride :)

Didn’t have an update on iOS until I went in to even on the “open” icon on App Store before it decided it had an update.

All is now installed and working as intended I believe. Some testing I however in order.

So much for the update to the gen5 on the 14th. I’ve checked Cubes Socials and oh.. they don’t update anything for years and years… I can see why Cube is such good value. It’s all face value on sale I’m coming to realise.
Glad to hear that iphones are now able to update.

You mention value, I am looking at buying the one77 800 slx and find it to be of exceptional components and price. Seriously exceptional! Fox 38 fork, XT components, Carbon frame, 800 battery, CX motor price 4000 to 4300 on sale, whats not to like.
If there is a better All mountain bike out there that is of better value, please let me know, I am about to pull the trigger so I have something to ride in Central Europe in the Fall.

I've just finished my first ride. 100Nm and 750W are definitely noticeable, but I only have it set on Turbo mode, because I don't need that much power. I prefer to have a longer range. Nevertheless, I recommend everyone try it, because it's great fun :)

PS. Does anyone know when Kiox 400C will finally be available and how much it will cost? I also saw in a video that Cube will require additional cover, and unfortunately display won't be flush with the frame.

That’s interesting/disappointing wrt the plate for the kiox 400c. Could you share a link to the video

I bought one (SLX in White, I think it's called Desert Stone), fantastic spec for the money, and I got 15% discount off RRP. My only concern is it's quite heavy, mine's XL and maybe 26kg with pedals, but I like that the 800Wh battery can be removed for hotel room charging.

mine's XL and maybe 26kg
My AT variant in XL was 25.3Kg once I’d added Hope Union Gravity pedals, 120 ml of tubeless sealant in each of the front and rear tyres, an RRP bolt on front mud guard and a Fidlock 750ml bottle+mount (no water in). That all means the claimed 24.3Kg for the AT variant is about right (when all of that stuff is stripped off). Given the bike has gravity tyres, Fox 38 (rather than 36) forks and gravity focused Fox X2 shock, 24.3 Kg is not heavy when compared to similar spec bikes. If you get the 800Wh Amflow and swap in gravity tyres plus burlier suspension, it’ll be around closer to 23Kg; lighter, but not massively so.

And that is my point. Value is top notch. Socials and ease of getting hold of them however my only gripe but a bike with a spec the same as the Specialized Levo 4 s works comes in at around £3000 less. That’s a hell of a chunk.

It should fit flush if you remove the frame. Maybe you saw a early production model? still crap if thats the case tho.

I think the poster is referring to an adapter that will allow older bikes without the larger cutout to retrofit it. In this case the kiox would sit on top of the top tube.

Looking at the 2 most important factors for my needs 1/ value-performance to weight ratio and 2/ a solid bike with 38 fox fork - high capacity 800 battery, that is more of an enduro spec than a light weight trail/all mountain spec. The Desert Stone is a lovely color for the bike and a removable battery is a big plus as well! The only thing I noticed is that it needs a display.

Just out of curiosity, why a display is needed?
