100% agree!in today’s world where the social networks rules, this kind of politics goes against the company image. In lot of Striven videos are appearing bad comments yet. Then I expect that canyon try to close all voices which a clear a definitely solution. Is their completely responsibility and they debt us.

Ok thx you.assuming the bike worked OK before you removed the battery....and the battery out of the bike charged OK ......I would think the battery has failed to make a good connection with the plug at the top of the downtube. It would be worth checking it is properly secured to the downtube.
The connector is bolted to the battery, or how is it secured?

It's easier than it seems, with the battery removed (obviously), there are 2 bolts on the downtube upper side, towards the head tube, those release the connector, then it's a matter of fishing it out, to make it easier, I removed the lower bracket that actually holds the battery, so your arm has more space, and remove the cover of the track that holds the connector cable so you can pull it out, and in reverse order to get everything back togetherYou know how we can extract the top connector in downtube in the Strive On ?

It's easier than it seems, with the battery removed (obviously), there are 2 bolts on the downtube upper side, towards the head tube, those release the connector, then it's a matter of fishing it out, to make it easier, I removed the lower bracket that actually holds the battery, so your arm has more space, and remove the cover of the track that holds the connector cable so you can pull it out, and in reverse order to get everything back together
Interesting as well that they suggest refitting the battery with the bike turned upside down and do a series of pushing the last 20mm or so a few times to ensure correct connection to the main plug, before closing the latch. They experienced the motor cut outs and subsequently a damaged latch. I also found it curious that the video showing that battery refitting looked like the last 20mm was spring loaded. It made me wonder if all the problems folk have experienced are in fact a result of not reconnecting the battery fully because it is not guided correctly unless the bike is upside down.MBR discuss the latch issue in this video from 14.54 and state a fix has been produced , an additional bolt on component to the battery

I don't have answers...just questions!! What is curious for me is that I have a Whyte e160 RSX with Bosch Smart system ...so 750w/h battery secured by the same latch and I have never had either the cutting out problem or damage to the latch....and I can insert the battery with the bike upright hanging from a bike stand. The only difference I can see is that my bike uses the full Bosch rail system.My latch came loose again yesterday, this time just on a rooty bumpy drop, nothing severe. The battery is fitted properly, bike has to be upside down otherwise it would be a right hassle. I also have a supposedly fix fitted which I bought off a guy from the StriveOn Facebook group. Latch comes loose, battery disconnects, bike loses power.
I have the new latch being dispatched from Canyon in Germany on its way via UPS but have seen on the Facebook group that another guy that thought he was receiving thavehe new latch received the standard latch this morning![]()

I’ve only had the following from the UPS tracking page, but it has been Christmas so wasn’t expecting anything too quick:

My bike has done well over 1400 kms on trails with jumps and drops etc........think I have taken the battery out 2 or 3 times so faR, but mostly dont need to.That was what I thought...
Never took off the battery, and the latch started doing its stuff @1.000km (give or take).
What it seems to shorten the life of the latch, it's jumps, drops and roudy trails!
So, if you don't want problems, stick to coastal paths... ahahahah
