Levo Gen 3 Specialized Gen 3 2022 Levo Megathread!

ext aria on a levo, any info?
I inquired about one with Mojo and they weren’t sure it would fit, they wanted me to bring the bike in so they could test for it but I live way too far away. Chris was saying the air ports might cause issues with the arm on the frame.

Ya. We were on way back after luge to whiting. I’d say a mile or 2 away from Wahoos parking lot. We let everyone know on way up to just be aware. We were all on e-bikes and although I’m not stupid enough to think I can outrun a cougar, it was moving pretty slow and going across the trail and into the wilderness. That being said, several groups of 60+ yo ladies with walking sticks headed that way. Easy pickins
Your friend was in O'Neill yesterday, snapped this on my ride this morning

Hi everyone,
I'm getting a single tick or two (or three :)) anytime I try to apply significant pedaling force to one or the other pedal.
I've got both crank arms and the spider off but nothing obvious so far.
To me, it feels as if some flexing in the motor/bottom bracket area might be the root cause. My intention is to get both motor covers off for a closer look. Problem is, I can't find any videos online that demonstrate Gen 3 Levo motor removal in detail.
Is there such a video or any other form of illustrated step-by-step?

There is no solid indication that 2024 updates to the X2 have turned it into a reliable unit.
Got my Expert with X2 2y ago. The shock blew up immediately, got serviced, blew up again and I went with coil shocks from this point on.
Now recently 1 week before and of guarantee a new engine was due (lucky me) and I took the chance to ask them to deal with the X2 on the way, not expecting much. When I came to get my bike they handed me a brand new 2023 X2 in its orininal box. Then I went over summer for two months to the french alps and rid the hell out of it in all kind of local bike parks and mountain descends. Surprise, it didn't show a single problem and even felt a tiny bit better than the EXT I had with me in spare.

After very long years with motorcycles, a new turbo levo alloy S4 2022 on the forum EMTB, it's my first vttae..

In first, I changeg the too hard saddle for one SMP trk.. thanks for my ass ! :ROFLMAO: .. I'm 64 years old !

I also added mudguards, front (CRUD XL Front Mudguard) and rear (SKS Mudrocker), and adapt a OneUp Components EDC V2 Threadless Carrier, the lights kit come from my friend Ali.. :sneaky:

Now, before go trailing, I'm waiting to install my protective film kit...

The extractibles pedals are temporary, besides this, what flat pedals do you recommend me ?

Very nice day to all, Pascal 🍻

PS : I have read all the 97 pages of this thread ! oufff..

Do the wheels on the new alloys come with the tubeless tape already installed or will I need to install my own?

I installed the tape recently on my other bike and found it an absolute nightmare to do. Just about burnt the fingerprints off my fingers trying to get it on smooth and bubble free.

Tubeless rim tape is already installed. 👍

@brigcampbell sums up the situation very well.... :ROFLMAO:

Otherwise, no need for two paragraphs, I just understood that the turbo levo was the best current compromise..

But.......... now that I've read the other topic:

I'm less sure!!!

You might want to double check, my base carbon levo, is "tubliss ready" but Rock and Road just does the tubeless thing when they prep the bikes. in other words they are tubeless as they sit on the showroom floor.

My 22 comp alloy from Rock n Road definitely had tubes in it. They asked if I wanted tubeless and poured in Stans for me. I kept the tubes for my pack in case of a sidewall slash.

Is 6200 euro for a new 2022 Levo expert from a shop a good deal?

As I understand it the 2024 Levo is the same frame and the same motor.

Not sure about Europe but here in the US $6200 for a new gen 3 Levo Expert would be a really good deal!

Yeah, I got my carbon '22 Levo Comp for $6,700 in December here in the US. I stripped everything off it but depending on how picky you are, at least the suspension and drivetrain on the Expert are worth keeping. The wheels are better too. Brakes are OK but IMO the "C" contact adjust in the RSC is necessary to make them bite hard enough for an ebike.

Even with a favorable exchange rate of the Euro that would be an unbelievable deal. MSRP in the US is $10,000US for an Expert but currently on sale for $9000US. I got what I thought was an amazing deal for $7500 through a shop in urgent need to clear inventory. So yes, that's a steal. Such a steal I'd be almost skeptical.

I think that the 2024 models are quickly arriving, and that the dealers are already aware that there are going to be significant developments, so the 2022 models will surely be very devalued... I think that it is time to get good deals!

Gen 1 Levo SL's are about 30% off right now which is the most you will ever see. Levo Expert for $6200 is closer to 40% and certainly not a price Specialized would ever let their authorized dealers advertise at or probably even sell at without the possibility of getting slapped on the wrist by them. I'd scoop that bike up and quick.

For clarification:
1) 2022 Levo Expert had an MSRP of $11,000 and is currently on sale on Specialized website, and thru their authorized resellers, at 25% off which would be $8,250.
2) 2023 Levo Expert, with very little changes, had a price reduction to an MSRP of $10,000 and is currently on sale for $9,000.
3) Can better deals be found? Probably yes, as the OP has been quoted. At 44% off, if it is in your size, and truly new, I would get it before someone else does!

In my local currency it comes out to 39% discount.
Still a bit more than I was planning to spend so I´m not sure what to do yet.

Awesome! Did you notice if it had a collar or not?

I’m not sure what sizes they have left in the 22 Expert, but Pro Bike Supply will discount the 22 model even further down to around $7,820. Best bike shop in OC and I have no affiliation with them. Speak with Mark.

I'm just about to purchase an Expert T-Type (GLOSS / SATIN OBSIDIAN / GLOSS TAUPE), size S4, Part No.: 95223-3804 - Turbo Levo Expert T-Type | Specialized.com

What I cannot figure out is whether this is a 2023 or 2024 model, I understand that new bikes are typically release early fall, so quite soon. If it is a 2023 model, do we know when the 2024 models are coming out and whether they are likely to be upgraded in some way or just cosmetic updates?
