Strong winds today, gondola closed. Couldn't pedal all the way up, so pure xc ride at the lower parts of the mountains. #lazy

Been taking advantage of stellar weather here, albeit a bit chilly, to tick off some beach rides near by. Had to shuttle 14 miles to get to this one on the south side of Cape Lookout and down to Sand Lake. Entrance was through an 800 acre Boy Scout Camp that had really nice forest vibe although there were old logging machines on site.

We picked up all that mud in a 100m stretch of trail on a 20 mile ride. Never seen anything like it before, I can only assume it's a perfect combination of mud, south downs chalk & temperature but both of us had to stop, carry our bikes & scrape the tyres clear before carrying on.

MUD DUDE!
