Orbea Rise Range Extender

Hi all…
I’m looking to purchase a range extender for my Orbea Rise M20
Question: Can the main battery be used first, then the extender plugged in once the main battery has been depleted?
As i would look to carry the range extender as a back up in my ruck sack and use water bottle in the bottle cage first?

Short answer: no.

But if you have some percentages left in the main battery, it will work.

So it seems you should be able to first use the main battery without the range extender plugged-in, and at some point later when you plug-in the extender the motor will switchover to the extender.

It seems so..looking at that data sheet
Which will be a godsend on those longer rides!!
