New 2025 Wild

Ps. The paint on this bike is flawless, had InvisiFRAME fitted on frame and fork, to keep it that way. I am extremely particular with paint as I detail cars as a hobby.

So either I have a unicorn from Orbea with zero paint issues 🤣. Or they’ve sorted out their paint and QC process ?🤷‍♂️.

Bike looks awesome.

I agree, XT is not good for Ebikes.

Mavens are better

Transmission is better.

I have the XT line on my Crafty and getting rid of it step by step ( X0 arriving next week)

You running the Shimano cassette on SRAM? Or changing that with new wheels?

Shimano is nowhere near SRAM in terms of quality. XT shouldn’t be on e-bikes, period.

I considered a Crafty lovely bikes 👏

I don't mind any brand, just that Shimano besides the new Electric drivetrains hasn't taken ebikes serious. And even now, they advertise only the Deore as an ebike compatible drivetrains. When you shift under load, if you push for two or a three gear chance by accident, the group set is gone. That's why at least for Ebikes, sram is superior for the moment.

@Mr.G , No XD driver and X0 cassete.

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve noticed that the Shimano stuff on the Orbea doesn’t shift anywhere near as good as my SRAM.

First order is to replace the brakes. Then like you I’ll buy the parts and upgrade where I need too.

Thanks. 👍

I have a new Orbea WIld H10, and it's paint is flawless, and beautiful, and the shimano stuff works really well. I have zero brake issues and zero shifting issues. In fact, I don't think it's mechanically possible for anything to shift as well as my current Shimano/Orbea setup, it's the best shifting bike I have ever owned. The shifting has been flawless, and I beat the shit out of this bike, and it just takes. It's a stunning looking bike in that metallic yellow-gold they use. In contrast, my 2024 rail 5 gen 3 I bought last year has had so many issues with shifting, cassettes, chains, etc., creaking, bottom bracket creaks, headset creaking, it's just been non-stop to my Trek shop so many times. Every 3 rides it needed to go to the shop. I got sick of it and bought the Orbea WIld H10, which has been trouble free for the 2 months I have owned the bike, have like 20-30 rides in, no issues whatsoever. The shimano components have been perfect. Braking has been perfect, zero issues with high speed down hill braking. I guess, like with everything, your results my vary.

Glad your paint is also flawless and you’re enjoying the bike. Important as e-bikes arent cheap these days.

Update on my issue with the brakes. My S3 (car) had to be recovered to Audi as issues with traction control. So cars off the road till it’s fixed meaning i cant drive the bike back to the vendor.

Hoping to get the bike back to them asap to get it fitted with my new mavens. Went 220 and 200mm so upsizing on the front.

Will let you know once they are on. Im excited to be able to ride it again. Currently cant be riden. 🤦‍♂️

You mean that your rear brake vibrates when braking at 25km/h so you have not been able to drive your two month old state of the art bike? And the reason for the failure is that the brake is Shimano.
There is no inherent flaw on Shimano XT brakes that cause that. Most times these kind of issues are because of contaminated pads, unsuccessful pad break in or adjustment issue. Most likely could be resolved with new pads and readjusting. There have been lot of discussion about Mavens that those can be quite finnicky, all the pad massaging and such. XT's are not perfect, but quite reliable brakes that usually do their job. Grass is not always greener on another side of fence.

No I mean exactly what I’ve already said. The brake rotor vibrates when the brake is not applied at speeds of around 16mph. Which makes riding it an absolute pain in the ass.

Bike being state of the art? What does that mean exactly? Reason for the failure? There is no brake failure, it’s a problem which I’ve tried to sort, replaced pads twice. Different brands. Issue remains.

Seems you’re playing out another narrative here than what’s actually happened. Sorry you’ve misread my posts.

Bike is due to go back to vendor to install mavens. Which is when I hope the issue disappears completely and I end up with much better brakes.

The Shimano stuff, sub par for a bike costing this much. 👍

^I may be in grumpy old guy mood, as my paint work is not perfect😖 There is a hole in it. Also there is hole on carbon fiber. Failed one slow tech place couldn't hold the bike. It jumped against rock. Orbea is now dealing it trough crash replacement, let's see how it goes. But for sure it was not cheap fail.

Oh dear that doesn’t look good. Accidents happen.

Hope you are okay though (more importantly) and I’m sure orbea will sort this for you. I’d be very interested in the outcome on this, could you keep us updated?

Did you have insurance on the bike if Orbea do not sort it?

The constant noise of the brake rotor vibration means I don’t want to ride it as it’s not supposed to be like that. As you well know these bikes aren’t cheap.

Best of luck getting yours sorted.

Thanks, I'm fine. It was totally innocent situation where i had to jump off the bike. Somehow I couldn't' keep the bike, bar slipped from hands. Things happen, bad luck etc. Newer broke a frame before😋 Probably if I have had alu frame there would also be dent on the battery. Now the battery case is still intact.

Insurance doesn't cover this beacuse "when the hobby equipment is used in accordance with the hobby" or something. Currently it seems that it will not be covered under Orbea warranty either as it was crash. After all it was a crash and my fault, so that's ok. It was kind of surprise that the frame cracked that easy, but off course there can be quite high force when heavy bike fall against rock.
It seems that this will be handled trough Orbea crash replacement policy that means -50% off from bike under 12 month old. Front frame is still quite expensive😬 Lets see how the replacement frame come from Orbea, i may still need half bag of all kind of parts as bearings, protector wraps, rubber bumper and such.

Really hope the replacement frame will be as perfect as original.

Anyone got the ST H30?

Keen to know what the RockShox Psylo Silver RCs are like in real world use.

I've only ever used Lyriks from RS, but was years ago (been on Fox ever since).

Got out on the Wild Custom recently. Loving the range on this bike. Lots of country lane riding to get to the destination, but Wales is such a nice picturesque place all year round, when it's not raining :D!!

I removed the Shimano XT8120 and this was the best decision I've made so far. The repalcement, Maven Silver's are absolutely hands down the best brakes I've used. Stopping the bike is so much quicker now and the lever feel for me at least is sublime.

The next thing on the list is....Removal of the Shimano Groupset.

One question, can I use the batteryu to power the rear mech? and if so, how??

TIA

G

Lovely pictures.

I have another Spanish brother from another mother 😄, a Crafy R that came fully equipped with XT line. Not bad but one of the best upgrades were :

1. Ditching the 8120 brakes for Mavens Silver. If you bleed them correctly at first they are best brakes out there.

2. Replacing the groupset with Sram X0 Transmission. Works sooooo much better.
Yes you can power it from the motor, but you have to activate the HPP port from a dealer. I've activated mine and tested it and works just the "deal" for the cable dropped so in the end sticked with a battery which is not bad as it's runs a long time. The cable to be bought separately is crazy expensive la 150 euros.
So go for the T Type :)

Just received my new 2026 Wild from Spain and completed my 1st ride today! Currently have a 2023 Wild and wanted to have Bosch Gen 5 Race Race Motor.

First ride impressions after riding a trail with some steep technical uphill climbs, flowing singletrack, tight switchbacks and a little chunky stuff is Orbea did an excellent job of incorporating some slight tweeks to make an already awesome bike even better.

The slackened headtube angle, additional 10mm rear travel, improved suspension kinematics and reduced frame stiffness gives the bike a slightly more plush feel without compromising handling characteristics.

Haven't ridden an emtb with a DJI motor, but the Bosch Gen 5 Race power and intuitive power output are amazing! I set this bike up to climb like a billy goat to compliment my Crestline S180.

Super happy with the new bike and plan on going on an epic 45 mile, 5000ft elevation gain ride in a couple days. Will attach the PowerMore Range Extender to see how much range I can get using the Race and TURBO modes.

Looks great! You got enough air in that fork though? Looks kinda low in those static shots for 170mm!

Hey guys, does anyone have any experience with the Shimano auto-shift function on the Wild?

Does it shift well (close to Transmission?), is it reliable, is it a useful feature?

I'm planning on ordering an LTE or a Wild, probably today and I'm just comparing build specs.

There are solid discounts on the Wild's right now and it results in a base Yeti costing what a top spec Orbea runs. But the Yeti is a more premium bike imo. Just comparing the 2 carefully.

Thanks!

Started as 2025 M20, and became my dream built project. Factory options are Fox 38 fork, and 600Wh battery. After collecting parts from sales during winter, it did born again as my type of trail blasting machine.
As the new XTR is knocking on the door, M9100 components can be found sometimes at good price. Wheels from RCZ newsletter were almost steal at set of this quality. Cranks came from my old bike.

Only short test rides yet, as it's still almost winter here. But I have good feeling, this thing is so fast and still comfortable at lower speeds.

Weight is 20.86kg without pedals. Add 380g for some nice aluminum flats😜 Grips may still change to OneUp grips. I really liked those on my previous bike, as I like OneUp components in general.

Specs as Orbea style:

Any word if Orbea will be dropping this silly headset cable routing?

They have to do new molds for the Avinox, I presume they will remove the headset cable routing.

I build my own bikes and consider myself an expert at brakes, so I'm ultimately fine with headset cable routing, but would prefer otherwise.

Alright, got a Wild Ordered. It hit all of my must haves with a good price too boot. I don't know what the M2 is bringing but am more than happy with the Bosch CXR I have coming, so I'm stoked.

I just wanted the frame only so ordered an M20 mullet with the CXR, Kiox 400 & 600w. The rest of the parts will be bolted to my old frame to sell and I'll reuse my good parts.

I've had the Wild on the list, but the spin-block/integrated headset is a faff I don't want to deal with. I crash enough, so busted spin-block/special spacers don't sound fun and waiting on parts from Spain. I've read the plastic bits break pretty easily...

Alternative is removing spin-block, but you need to add thicker crown race and different lower bearing. Again, seems more trouble than its worth.

I'm not familiar with this issue. For sure I'm aware of the headset cable routing. I'm a solid bike mechanic and brakes are a specialty, so I don't think it'll be a big deal.
But one thing I've figured out is that my perfect bike doesn't exist. I can list several 'cons' for every bike I've considered. I did feel the Rogue was the closest but once they told me it would have a US distributor, well let's just say that added a new wrinkle and more time.
Least compromises kind of thing.
