My
My bike developed a noticeable play in the top mount shock bolt (pulling up on the seat and touching the top shock bolt you can feel the play). The shop thinks it may be the frame, but waiting for the more senior mechanic to analyse the issue.
Could it be the bushings of the Fox Float X?
Anyone had this problem?
My bolts were loose. The ones situated on the yoke, right next to the seat tube, and hard to get to. My LBS removed the shock to get to them and tightened them back up. Sorted.

Ended up being the nylon shock bushings. Had to be replaced and that solved the problem.

Anyone upped their forks to 180mm? I know it’s not approved by Cube.
I’m toying with the idea to further improve pedal clearance, even a couple of mm.
A lot of my riding involves rock gardens, roots etc, at speed, both uphill and downhill.

The bike is utterly brilliant though. Totally quiet now after all the corrections and accurate torque settings.

I’ve done a week in the Alps (even got a KOM on one descent), couple of Bike Park Wales trips and loads of off piste and trail centres around South, West and North Wales.

Good battery stats too. Last BPW was 50km and 2km vert with 12% battery left.
I’m never left with range anxiety. Mostly flit between Turbo and Emtb and if you put 100% effort in the Bosch really rewards with power and battery life.

I threw on a 190zeb and changed the headset angle. It made a little different but felt a bit odd, almost DH like but with a huge perception of added flex.. the 170 went back on and the headset angel reset. Smaller cranks ordered.

Have you gone down to 150 cranks? I did and it solved the pedal-strike issue.

I’m on 145mm cranks!
Honestly, a lot of my riding is over brutal rock gardens at speed so I need every pedal height advantage I can find if I want to attack the trail.

I'm on 190 with headset in steep mode, I measured the headangle at 63.6. I run the fork fairly stiff so I only get about 170-180mm travel, so there isn't much imbalance. I honestly don't perceive any difference in ride feeling from the 170mm stock fork, but my previous bike had a 62.8 head angle and was also overforked...

Does anyone know the maximum size of the bottle that could be fitted on L-sized bike? Going to buy some fidlock bottle, not sure if I can go with 750ml

Well I've had no rattling, creaking or noise from my bike in 5 rides now... its epic that i can finally enjoy it. The 38 factory and the DHX coil has made this bike a monster on the downhills. Got the 400c working now as well and im finally enjoying the riding instead of wondering what thats noise etc...
So what have you done to get around the creaking noises. Ive had the bike just over a month. Done about 15 rides on it and I cant work out where the creaking is coming from.

Removing every pivot bolt, re-greasing and re-torquing solved it for me. Also checking the torque of the motor bolts. My lower swingarm pivot was (I think) where mine was coming from. Pain in the arse having to remove the rear shock to access the small clavicle bolts, but it made for a quiet bike in the end (top tip….apply some tape to your down tube when removing the shock to prevent it dropping and scratching your frame). Good luck!

Hi, does anybody had a problem with the saddle , mine is broken by the narrow part , it is a One 77 TM purchased in June and my dealer tells me that probably is not cover by Warranty .I think is clearly a manufacturing or material defect.

are you the first owner? the factory saddle should - I think - be an Acid (CUbe's own brand) whereas I'm seeing the word Ergon in that pic, suggesting that it's not the original saddle.

My saddle collapsed on the left hand side, but IMO not a big problem 'cause it's a crappy saddle anyway. According to my buttocks...

Doesn’t look like a warranty claim to me, you can see where the finish is rubbed away on the cover at both sides of the nose.
Doesn’t look like the OEM saddle either

It's the original OEM saddle and not an Ergon saddle. It's an ACID Venec.
I'd go to the shop with it and ask for a replacement. They can send that one back to Cube for credit.

Yes I am first Owner ,and the Bike was purchased at a Cube dealer , and It's supposed to be a ACID Venec EMTB Trail 140 saddle .

I'd be asking for a replacement, but I also wouldn't be that bothered about buying a nicer steel rail saddle for 40e (recommend WTB volt personally) if they deny it.

So I got my big 190mm ZEB back from warranty (blew the damper), was perfectly happy with the stock 170mm fox 38 for the month the ZEB was absent. A bit disappointed that my front end creak has returned which means either the ZEB has CSU creaking or isn't playing nicely with the headset. The fox was silent. I noticed my Zeb steerer tube has some wear on the black coating at the level of the top of the headset.

I went to install my new Fox 38 180mm airshaft

And the fecking air shaft on my 2025 Fox 38 looked like this on removal!

Not seen this version before and now I have a 180 air shaft I can’t return because it’s out of the bag and now slathered in suspension grease.
Not a happy bunny.

Hi folks,

I'm currently window shopping for a potential 1st ebike purchase in the new year and the One77 has caught my eye as it seems to offer great spec for the money.

I notice the cheaper Race model comes with Suntour Aion 38x forks and TRIAir shock. Does anyone have any experience of these? I have basic but functional Fox 36 Rhythm on my current hardtail and had RS Lyriks / Fox Float RP23 on my previous full suss, but have never used a Suntour product so have no idea what they're like in terms of performance or reliability.

Thanks!

Hi, few pages back you'll find my post with link to YouTube video about my One77 RACE. I upgraded suspension straight away to Zeb Select, and Fox Float Performance X(If you are good in searching, you can find them very cheap).
Suntour suspension was heavy, and sluggish. After upgrading it, bike rides much better ;)

In my view, it'd be worth your while stretching to the SLX which has pretty good components. I think the SLX is £500 more but has Fox suspension, excellent Shimano XT brakes, plus the Kiox 400C screen on the top tube.

I had the same dilemma in May but I was lucky enough to come across a 10% off deal on the SLX.
Even if there wasn't the 10% off, I was ready to pay the extra for the SLX over the Race.

The 2026 SLX is the same price as the 2025 model PLUS it comes with the Kiox 400c, which cost me almost £250 (inc the frame template + postage), almost negating most of the 10% discount I had at the beginning!
The SLX is very good bang for your buck at £4500.
Total cost of my bike would have been £4750 without the discount and after buying the Kiox 400c.

Bottom line - I'd get the SLX.

I also got the SLX, but I replaced just about everything on it 😁 But if you want to sell for example the fox suspension, you might even get some money out of it. Don't know how is it with suntour stuff.

Would also recommend going for SLX to get the fox stuff. I would 100% go for a 2025 discounted model rather than 2026 and ignore the kiox 400c, I have the kiox it's fine but really doesn't add anything to the bike unless you really want to know your battery level at all times.

I got the race 800 at a good price , my third ebike I have got two merida e160 s . The cube is great no issues with the fork or rear shock it rides great in my opinion , buy it try it if you want to upgrade you can that was my opinion but I have found it brilliant , I may upgrade later but just buy it and ride it you will love it .

As the guys above say, it all depends on how much you can get RACE, and SLX for. I bought my Race four months ago, for 3,900€. Replacing Suntour 38 with Zeb cost me 317€, FOX Float X 141€, and Kiox 400C with frame mount 212€. Figure out which is more cost-effective for you.
I always buy the cheapest versions, and customize everything myself, so my modifications cost over 2,000€ ;)
