So I have a 2019 Trance SX E0 and love it, but I cant fit a Giant Battery extender as they do not fit a 2019 bike ( 2020 onwards as the charging plug is different ). So I brought a 250wh non Giant extender and wired is directly in to the + and - on the bike. I worked well for over 2 years until the recent Firmware update. Now it does not work. I have changed the cables and plugs as I thought it must be them. But no matter what I do it does not work. I cant see how the firmware would know it was wired in. I am not an electrinics or firmware expert. I understand this is quite a unique and may be 1 off issue. But I am struggling to see what else it could be. Do others have any knowledge of the firmware changes or similar setup to mine have issues ?
This is my last options for more information. I have also read that the firmware is not backward changeable so cant try that.
