I'm also having difficulty getting SZZS to help with a dead m820. How old is your motor? Did they outright refuse the warranty?

Initially SZZS was very helpful with my DOA m820, but less than a year later it has died again, and they've just been stringing me along for the last two months. If this is part of a bigger problem with the company, we should probably get the word out so people can make an informed desicion before buying.

The gear is available from Greenbikekit.com. I have bought spares. I also got a spare M820 from Greenbikekit.com. Anna is very responsive. The M820 is warrantied from Bafang for 2 years. The question would be what warranty comes with the replacement?

Hey did you end up finding a solution to this problem? I find that I have a he same issue with the motor cutting out briefly then coming back on. It's usually when I'm in boost mode but I've still had it occasionally happen in other modes.

The M820 was never intended to be used in Boost for extended periods. It will cut-out if it gets too hot after an extended period of boost use.

Have ordered gear from green bike kit.

Had a few of those motors,never seen it failed before.

My motor was under 400 KMS on the clock

Thats good it will cut out. Seen many firmwares which does not cut out at all. )
Even with M820 it is reporting in some firmwares funny temperatures.
