Hi, have you got any destined for the UK - or do you have another batch planned in the future? What continent are you guys from? I have a batch destined for USA that hasn’t left yet due to BuzzinHornets inactivity.

Another option instead of angle Aluminium is Carbon. You can buy the carbon angle off the shelf (easy to cut than Ali and easy enough to trim with dremmel or similar)at reasonable price, use floating anchor nuts (can be glued or drilled to fix) instead of tapping and even lighter weight. Just a thoughtI saw this guy had removed the entire battery lock and saved 360g weight from the rail by removing the mechanism.
Anyone here done it? I don’t like this key mechanism, seems a bit flaky and although the RIB removal is good if you need to remove the battery, I’m interested in removing it completely.

Thanks Arron, super keen, just let me know how I can pay you, cheers DaveHi guys,
I am not planning on making any more.
I have one that needs finishing and I suppose Dave Carlyon was in first so has priority.
I also have some seconds I could sell for a discounted rate.
I'd be interested in one of those, can you let me know the price and the reason they are seconds please?I also have some seconds I could sell for a discounted rate.

I'm not finding a good key grommet for my bike. Where did you find yours? Is it off of some common household item?Nice one
Glad it worked out for you in the end
especially with you being our UK distributor
PS. You have a key grommet just like mine LOL

Did you try one and have problems?I dont use it either
To me all the pad does is lifts the battery away from the contacts as i think you have experienced
So for me i wont be using one .
what size is the P foam some of you have used for the gaps on the top and bottom? local or online bought?
I would love to see a parts list for this solution. Really think the Quick lock is better than the bolt solution in case of battery removal after rideHello
this ist Chris from germany.
I´ve made some changes to my rail 9.8-2020. I remove the battery lock and buildt a plate with a quick release. So changing the battery is done in 30s. I use 2x 500wh battery, but it will also fit with the 625wh-tight but it works.
The cover ist carbonfiber hinged with silicon at the frame.
I saves a lot of weight (alltogether ca.650g) and improve the usability. Only painting need a little improvement.
Overall weight is 21,5 kg with 500wh an DHF DD rear (some other changes done)-with pedals.
Best wishes
Chris
