Amflow Customer Support team is here!Amflow Support questions only please

Hello,

I was very excited to purchase an Amflow PL with the idea to do upgrades with existing parts I already own. Very sad to find that my expensive carbon wheels will not work as the speed sensor is six bolt and my hubs are centerlock.

Is there an adaptor to be found to use the current six bolt sensor on centerlock hubs? Or maybe a planned new centerlock sensor to be introduced soon?

Thank you!

Thank you for your inquiry.

We fully understand your concerns and apologize for the inconvenience caused. Currently, Amflow does not offer an adapter for this situation, and the Amflow wheel speed sensor ring is only compatible with six-bolt hubs.

We recommend consulting your local bike shop or referring to modification suggestions from other Amflow riders, for example on Facebook. We have noticed that some riders have shared their experiences and solutions regarding this issue.

Rest assured, we will also forward your feedback and needs to our relevant team for further consideration.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Hi there!

I'm thinking of buying an Amflow PL Carbon, but I don't see any sellers here in the Netherlands yet.. I do see the sellers in Germany and Belgium. If I buy from, let's say, Germany, do I have the normal guarantee on the bike? Thank you. Jordy

Are there any plans of making spare parts available for home service of the out of warranty motors?
It will eventually become needed to be able to repair the motors, and it would be very nice if riders have an option to fix their hardware if they want to and are able to. But only with available parts is this possible. This would set dji avinox motors apart from other motor companies and would make be a major win over competitors.

@Amflow_Support Me and my friend are missing the class 3 option after updating the the latest firmware in US. We're not seeing the speed limit option in the menu. Confirmed we are on firmware 00.12.0507.

Maybe these are the bikes that still can use the VPN. Many claim the last update changed it forever, but some claim it has no closed that loop hole. I would try the NZ VPN.

These bikes have different menus. Mine does not have motor temp graph or motor temp in the app, but I have seen motor temp and a graph in others app.

weird that a few menus are different

Do Amflow change the stock MT5 levers to the HC lever (one finger)

I notice the spec page doesn't say this but my PL Carbon definitely has the HC levers!

I purchased a Shimano centerlock to six bolt adaptor and it worked perfectly. I am using my centerlock wheels on the Amflow with the speed sensor disc.

Hi Jordy,

Thank you for your interest in the Amflow!
Currently, we do not offer a global warranty service. However, Amflow does provide warranty service across Europe. This means if you purchase the bike from an authorized seller in Germany or Belgium, you will still be covered by our European warranty. If you encounter any issues, you can contact our service team and we will assist you according to our warranty policy.

Thank you for your inquiry. If you encounter any issues with your motor, you can contact us at [email protected], and we will provide you with a repair solution for your concerns.

We are truly sorry to hear about your disappointing experience. May I kindly ask where you and your friend purchased your bikes? Was it through our official online store or from one of our authorized dealers?

I apologize if this has been answered but will Amflow be offering a frame only option in the future? Thanks
Thank you for your inquiry. Currently, we do not support the individual sale of frames. However, we will pass your request on to the relevant department and hope that it will be considered in the future.

I am upgrading the SRAM Eagle 70 derailleur on the Amflow Carbon PL to the SRAM GX Eagle AXS Wireless. Does this have the same functionality as the SRAM XO Eagle on the Amflow Carbon Pro i.e. smooth shifting etc.? Also does it require to be hard wired using the power cable (SME8028003) to the motor or will it perform as well without the power cable and on battery power?

How do you change from 24 hour to 12 hour time on the display?

The charge port door isn't that robust. My fell off when I first opened it. It's only held in place with a spring bar like a watch band.

The USB plug cover above the display doesn't fit well. It really has to be pressed in hard to make seat.

The bike was packaged amazingly well and easy to assemble.

The rear axle was so tight the person almost stripped the head. You can see the bite marks in the bolt. It's only 10 Nm boys and girls. :)

Is it really necessary to have the large bend in the rear brake cable? It seems the banjo bolt could be loosen and rotated down to have a more linear path.

GX will work. Rob did this on his Crestline DJI.

Needs to be hardwired as the motor uses the derailleur drawing power as an indicator that you are shifting gears. Thus if you use a separate battery on the derailleur. The motor won't know that the derailleur is drawing power.

Misunderstood what he was trying to do. Yes the upgrade is worth it but has to be hard wired to motor.

Did that to my ep801 and adding electronic shifting took a separate Shimano computer and 2 different programs to get the motor on the same page. Shimanos are programmed as either manual or electronic shifting, and that has to be changed or no riding.

Hopefully the DJI is different and its a clean swap. Sounds like Astro knows it works

Shimano connection cable is a comms and power cable. Thus it requires configuration.

DJI is just a power cable. When the motor sees power draw from the port the power cable goes into, and you have smoothshift enabled. It will spool the chainwheel. Even if you are just plugging the derailleur in, and you haven't changed gears. It's a non-intelligent connection.

I’d like to share some feedback regarding my recent experience with the Avinox system, in the hope that it can be helpful for future improvements.

I’ve noticed that geotracking with Avinox still has room for improvement. When comparing Strava ride times recorded with Avinox to those recorded using external GPS devices like Garmin or Hammerhead, I’ve seen discrepancies of more than 10 seconds on certain segments. This can be frustrating for those of us who track our performance closely.

For now, I still use my Hammerhead Karoo on the handlebar, and I tend to rely on its data due to its higher consistency. That said, I’d love to be able to fully trust Avinox, as it clearly has great potential.

It would be fantastic to see support for syncing with platforms beyond Strava in the future. Even better, if third-party GPS devices (like Hammerhead, Wahoo, or Garmin) could access Avinox data via Bluetooth or ANT+, including remaining battery, assist mode, cadence, and rider power output, that would be incredibly useful for many of us.

Thanks for your ongoing work. I’m confident that with a few improvements, the Avinox experience could be taken to the next level.

Best regards, and keep up the great work

Thanks everyone for your replies. Most helpful. The power cable isn’t available until October in the UK hence my question. That is unless someone here is aware of a source for it. 😂😂

I did make a thread a while ago to try and make it easier for people to find the cable, though no one seems to find it easy to find the thread 🙃 :)

This would be a great option. If you do this, you'll have a ready buyer right away!

I was trying to activate my bike without updating it, app didn't let and after 100 km i was FORCED to activate my bike, and the only way activate it is to update it. GREAT i had unlimited speed, not its limited to 45km/h WTF???. Is there a way to downgrade software? change the display? or i'm just filling a chargeback with paypal.

First of all, take a breath and ease up there brother.

Secondly, you'll not have much luck with a chargeback as breaking the local laws are not an advertised feature of the bike.

Thirdly, I will send you a PM as it's not allowed to discuss how to break the law in this thread.

Hello, just some feedback. The crank arms seems quite soft. I have had the bike a bit over a week and one arm is already bent. Feels bad :(
Please consider reenforcing them a bit.

Thank you for your inquiry and for providing comprehensive feedback.
At present, the control display does not possess functionality to toggle from the 24-hour time format to a 12-hour format. We regret any inconvenience caused and have escalated your request to the Research and Development department for consideration in subsequent firmware updates.
With respect to the charge port door, we apologize for any inconvenience. Should detachment recur, please contact us via [email protected] for assistance.
Regarding the rear axle, the specified torque requirement is 10 Nm.
As for the rear brake cable routing, your observations are duly noted and will be conveyed to our engineering team for further technical evaluation.
We appreciate your continued support and your constructive suggestions.
