surely a membrane should be bonded not stitched?

Membranes can be stitched if they are then taped.

Initially I wasn’t happy with mine either but I gave mine a treatment of Nikwax and so far it’s working, well, alright I know I shouldn’t have had to do anything to make them waterproof, after all they cost £150 and should have been waterproof out of the box but hey ho, it’s not the end of the world.

What Nikwax treatment did you use please?

Just the hand spray bottle, not the aerosol bottle, better still here’s a picture rather than explaining, I’ve tried other types but this one has been the best for what I’ve used it for so far
