With the bike stationary, lightly lifting up on the top tube produced a knocking sound, and you could feel play at the rear shock mount. While riding, it felt like the coil shock was topping out.Tell me more about this play... I feel like I have the same on my Spectre or it's the coil topping out. All sign point to the latter.
I’ve run the Reserve Carbon HD30s and really liked them. The $700 price point on the alloy version is appealing, and they feel slightly more compliant than the carbon. If I held onto my bikes longer, I’d go carbon without hesitation.Have you run the carbon 30hd as well as the alloy? What do you like about the alloy?
To me the 700 is the “ripper” for hot laps because it enables maximum output. I guess if I’m using r-words I might call the 600 the “routine” solution.Specs from Avinox:

800 "Ranger" (long range)
700 "Roundie" (all rounder)
600 "Ripper" (for the hot laps!)
I have a friend who's interested in this information as well.So for US bikes on here, if you were a good boy and didn’t use vpn when setting up your new bike, is there an option for class III on the menu? Obviously just curious for private backyard fenced in usage. Just trying to see if those no-good lawbreakers would have to still do the vpn thing.
At this point it’s so public idk why we even hide this. Everybody knows. Do we need to do vpn still or no? Lmao
No, we don’t need a vpn in the US. Class 3 is in the menu settings. But class 1 is default so you need to change it every time that you intend on using it.So for US bikes on here, if you were a good boy and didn’t use vpn when setting up your new bike, is there an option for class III on the menu? I’m putting a 180 oneup in my rh2. Not sure about my inseam, prob 30-32. I’m sure it’ll be fine.anyone fit a 180 oneup or 175 axs in a rh2? If so what is your inseam?
Ah dang that’s a little frustrating. No, we don’t need a vpn in the US. Class 3 is in the menu settings. But class 1 is default so you need to change it every time that you intend on using it.![]()
It is, but luckily it’s pretty easy to do in the menu.Ah dang that’s a little frustrating.
Better than not being there and makes sense actually! It is, but luckily it’s pretty easy to do in the menu.
From the FAQ's section. I'm about 190 kitted and 475lb is perfectSomeone had posted coil spring weight recommendations from Troyden a while back. I’m struggling to find it- is someone able to share? It showed a variety of recs based on travel setting and desired sag
Weird, this is exactly what I feel through the frame but can't feel anything specifically in the rear mount and it only started when I swapped out a Vivid air for a coil. Could you pinpoint the exact area of play? Was it the bolt, or the Hi/Low spacer, or....?With the bike stationary, lightly lifting up on the top tube produced a knocking sound, and you could feel play at the rear shock mount. I replaced the Rockshox bearing adapter upgrade 26mm, kit and this solved the issue right away. Try holding the rear triangle down as you lift up the top tube and you should feel a little movment where the bolt goes through the shock mounting hardware.Weird, this is exactly what I feel through the frame but can't feel anything specifically in the rear mount and it only started when I swapped out a Vivid air for a coil. It is part of the headset.Question: as I’ve never built a frame up before, does the crown race come with either the fork or headset? Or do I need to buy a crown race?
Different bike, but what you are describing sounds like the shock hardware. If you bolt ever comes the slightest bit loose, those IGUS bushings get blown out. Thats what happened to me anyway. Thanks for this. Interesting that this conflicts with the other chart that Troyden shared. The other chart would put you between a 500-575 (if I’m reading correctly). You are saying you currently have a 475 on a CL frame? From the FAQ's section. I'm about 190 kitted and 475lb is perfect

I’m 5’6 with 29 or 30 inseam. I tried to do the math the best I could and it seemed like a 180 fully slammed might be right on the edge of being too high for me. Yes sir, 475 on a Spectre. Maybe 1.5-2-ish turns of preload. A half turn more preload and I'm not hitting 30%... I couldn't imagine running a 100lbs more spring. Thanks for this. On my previous model RS180 I ran 50lbs firmer than that table suggested. Depends on your terrain I guess. I’m 91kg or 200lbs and will be running a 600lbs spring when mine comes in. This is helpful to know. I always end up going over recommended spring rates. I’ve got a 500 ready at 170lbs.On my previous model RS180 I ran 50lbs firmer than that table suggested.
