What is that wrap you used. Looks very cleanView attachment 173317View attachment 173318View attachment 173319
Yes ...... but one side has a slit in the side of it to slide a large head through it.... little did I know. But Drilling is possible.
I have wrapped side with the controls / throttle on the side. I have also made it that I can remove the throttle for parks that I intend on riding that insist on no throttles. Which is no big deal to me, so I have left the connector on the outside of the bike, plus the throttle cable is unfortunately just too short to put all connectors inside the frame from what I have received. I wish the throttle cable was 4 inches longer.
Other than that, it looks much cleaner than my FREY AM1000V6 Wiring.
Nice looking bike!!My new construction Cef69

Exactly my thoughts as well, this build is ok for a CEF50 / M820 light setup for XC but the enduro frame and motor combo is kind of wasted with this light build. Charly would better off advertising builds that align with the frameset so it doesnt confuse those with less experience who might go down the wrong path on the buying decision.Nice looking bike!!
From the other hand the build does not make any sense.
170mm enduro frame on Bardzo and Mezcal tires, XC bars and no dropper post. Elite wheels with thin 28 spokes.
Way too "light" build for any enduro or natural trails. Too much frame travel for efficient XC fast runs.
It's the m510rs
Looks like Charly's auto translate just failed : ) I'm about order the 69 with the updated link and a X2 shock so it looks like they have it sorted.View attachment 180879
I have been told they are going to send me new link any day now. looks different to current and it should fit X2 Fox Float now
Thanks mate i 3D printed it few weeks ago to test fit. It will clear now few mm with x2, still havnt riden my bike off road since built it last year. Because of this.Looks like Charly's auto translate just failed : ) I'm about order the 69 with the updated link and a X2 shock so it looks like they have it sorted.

Are you able to share the file they sent you or if not a screenshot of the linkages with a dimension or two? Thanks mate i 3D printed it few weeks ago to test fit. It will clear now few mm with x2, still havnt riden my bike off road since built it last year. Because of this.
I translated it wrong; when placing a new order, you have to say "updated for x2" and it will work for any shock absorber.Looks like Charly's auto translate just failed : ) I'm about order the 69 with the updated link and a X2 shock so it looks like they have it sorted.

PM Email ill send you step file, Its not linkage attached to shock they changed other oneAre you able to share the file they sent you or if not a screenshot of the linkages with a dimension or two?
I made a outline CAD of the rear kinematics and was wondering if the new linkage design affected it. I'm guessing the shock and the yoke was angled downwards a bit?
Perfect thanks!PM Email ill send you step file, Its not linkage attached to shock they changed other one
Could you post an image up of your bike ?I now have about 250kms on my CEF69. Generally very happy with it. I have picked up a few issues.
1. The large frame does not accommodate the float x. I have had to move shock hardware spacers around to get it to work. Jean said she will quote on a new link when ready. I have pushed back as their diagrams clearly show it can accommodate a piggy-back shock. Sent her photos as well. We will see what the result is.
2. When I wash my bike something inside gets wet and the bike will not start up. I mentioned this and she said drying with a hairdryer works. All well and good until I get stuck on the mountain in the rain. I will open it up and see if I can sort it out. This needs to be mentioned to Bafang as it is an issue (other people have mentioned this to them).
3. This bike is not a mullet. I have 152mm cranks and have had numerous strikes. I have swopped out to a 29er and it runs perfectly. I mentioned to her that with the new link they should look at a flip chip to accommodate a mullet. Their solution is to run a 2.8 tyre.
Other than that, the bike is a beast. I ended up at just over 21.5kgs with a fairly burly build and it handles everything I have thrown at it so far. No issues (touch wood) with the M510 RS motor either. Smooth power delivery and no hiccups yet.
Will get some shots on my next ride.Could you post an image up of your bike ?
Going to try 27.5 front and rear with a 180mm fork on a medium frame, 150mm cranks, 2.5 radial Muddy Marys front and rear, a 36t chainring with a 12 speed cassette
Not entirely sure how it’ll work out, but I’ve got a set of I9 Torch wheels and a pair of Bos Idyll single crown forks already, so I thought I might as well give it a go.
Could go mullet, but that’s another £1000 I’d rather not spend on top of the build at the moment. Just hope the pedal strikes aren’t too bad.
310mm ish with the 180mm fork... its a bit low but will give it a shot.IMO the pedal strikes are going to really bad. The bike in full 29r goes from a respectable BB height of 345mm to a low of 330mm in mullet mode. If you go to a full 27.5 i think its going to be really low.
That would be really good if it does change the geo for a mullet. Rear travel is more than enough for me currently but extra never hurt either. As a head ups, nvcheeko has been working with Jean on a linkage that looks a little different than Grip'N'Rip's linkage and should clear the Float X2 cans a touch more. (Yoke that attaches to the shock would be the same but the rocker length is shorter.) A quick sketch looks like it increases the rear travel and puts a mullet to about stock geo.
Puts a mullet to stock geo???? Really? This is incredible news if true. So we can have two links...one for full 29r mode and one for mullet similar to a Stumpjumper Evo. Do we know when this will be available? As a head ups, nvcheeko has been working with Jean on a linkage that looks a little different than Grip'N'Rip's linkage and should clear the Float X2 cans a touch more. Game Changer! I just asked if I can order this ASAP.I was talking to my salesperson about the new linkage and she sent me the attached photo. Sounds like they're pairing the new linkage with a new upper seatstay that has a bridge which should stiffen up the rear end a bit. I'll keep you all updated as I learn more but I'm going to try to order the new linkage/ upper seatstay asapView attachment 181293
