alright, I think lowest tier it is then.For a brand new release, I can't imagine there's a chance you'd see a frame-only option come in any cheaper than buying the full bike and selling off what you don't need.
Maybe later in its life once the initial sales buzz has worn off, but anything available now is going to command a premium price because they can.
FWIW the price of the frame alone that I have seen is equivalent to the lowest tier of build, once you add in the motor and battery. Probably more, once it all shakes out.
As @Free54 says that might just be an SKU for dealers to order-in for warranty purposes, but that's the only option I have seen, both in a Trek store and on various Trek dealer websites.
According to my friendly, neighbourhood Trek dealer, the frame only options are there if someone is stupid enough to want one. They have their own ordering system for parts and accessories.alright, I think lowest tier it is then.![]()
My large framed EX 9.8 XT with carbon wheels, was 20.2 kg, as delivered, with the 580 battery excl. pedals. I have got it down to 19.6 kg (ready to ride incl. pedals), after swapping in a few lighter components. With an LX Eagle 90, low 20's kg might be achievable, but the factory spec reckons on 20.88kg excl. pedals as delivered, so it could be a challenge. I guess the coil and the fox 38 fork on the LX adds a bit to the weight compared to the EX.Seriously thinking on a LX eagle 90 / enduro build with coil to replace my acoustic m enduro bike ( Pivot Firebird) which doesn’t get too much love since the Full Bosch CX bike does a heck of a job but thinking at a 20ish kg bike or even sub 20 with a smaller battery . Could that be achieved on a L size bike ?

- un ressort hélicoïdal plus léger ou un amortisseur Vivid (j'adore cet amortisseur)
- cassette / manivelles
- disques de frein (les SRAM HS2 sont vraiment lourds)
- une meilleure paire de roues.
- batterie plus petite (dans certains cas, une batterie 290/360 pourrait suffire)

La puissance ne m'intéresse pas vraiment, je trouvais l'EXE déjà très bien.

Not sure I understand you, but the 360wh and 580wh are interchangeable on the Slash+. So I think any bike that can take a 580 can take a 360 too. And so probably the 290 as well.

I have put 27.5” x 3” studded Wrathchild tires on my Fuel ex-e. Not sure if the Fuel+ clearance is identical, but it should be very similar. Clearance for me is pretty tight… about 4mm on each side. No rubbing yet, but I’m also not exactly railing corners in the conditions that require their use anyways. The chain does rub the tire sidewall on occasion in the lowest 3 gears, but it hasn’t resulted in any problems yet.I'm seriously considering a 8 or a 9.7 to replace my 2018 Fuel EX. Maybe a bit odd question, but what does the rear tire clearance look like, especially width wise? I have a set of 27.5+ wheels with 27.5x3.0 spike tires (Suomi Tyres Fat Freddie), which are about as tall as a 29x2.4 but obviously around 3" wide at the height. It'd be nice to get some use out of the set.

Ce sera mon premier amortisseur à ressort.
Je ne sais pas quelle commande commander pour les petits printemps.
Je pèse 80 kg/176 lbs avec mon équipement.
J'ai commandé le ressort 475.
Quelqu'un a-t-il des commentaires ou de l'expérience avec le modèle LX ?

Thanks for the formulaAcross many bikes, I've had good success with this formula:
rider weight (lbs) x Leverage ratio = spring rate (round up)
You can calculate the (generalized) leverage ratio by diving the travel by the shock stroke. So 160mm / 65mm= 2.46
176lbs x 2.46=432.96
So I'd start with a 450lb spring. But I think a 475 might be perfect if you ride aggressively and want to run lighter compression damping. I think the spring tolerances are easily +/-25lbs anyways. I think you should be good.
