Crestline x DJI - RS 181 SPECTRE Edition

Crestline instagram is talking about frames shipping after Eurobike.... I guess ANY date after is after, but I want to assume it means right after and sooner than later July!

Getting prepped for smooth shift, really looking forward to this feature. I went with the longest to be safe, 880mm would proabbly work but I didn't find stock and 780mm would probably cut it too close. ALL lengths were difficult to find and I was lucky to get this at a nice discount. Hope on it if you can find it....

I hope you didn’t order SKU: 11.3018.028.001
Which was the attachment you added in this thread to order from FanaticBike.
That one is for SRAM and Bosch motor plug, NOT for DJI.

AMFLOW support mentioned 11.3018.028.003 was needed, and the only difference I can tell between that .002 and .001 is length. What's the correct product code?

As I described previously, it's like a shift whilst you are coasting. I have the Shimano version of this on my Shimano EP801 Merida E160, as well as the SRAM version on my DJI Amflow.

I would say out of all the advantages of Electronic Shifting, this is the best feature, and a huge game changer for me. The game changing component is being able to set up nicely balanced as you approach a technical feature, and change your mind about what gear you need, without altering your balance or feet placement. You simply push the shifter button once or twice, and know the bike will shift for you. It also allows me to focus on which gear I need to choose, later in my decision making process.

This gives you added time to make decisions about line choices, and I use this all the time, when in technical terrain.

It's a feature I've always thought would be nice to have in my 20 years of riding. Like a fast downhill into a steep climb, it's really difficult to downshift prior to really needing to

So I don't keep spreading bad info... do you have the exact product code or anything like that for the SRAM/DJI wire? Much appreciated!

I do not. My bike came with the cable so I don't know the part number. All I can do is post the Amflow Support reply to someone asking about the cable.

And here's a photo of the plug that goes into the motor. It does look different to the one in the photo in your order.

Higo Micro A is the correct plug.

My current MX Crestline would require over 900mm length.
I’m not able to fine a 955mm with this correct plug in stock in the US or even in a country willing to ship to the US.

Some website reuse photos between SKU's of similar products so it can be misleading. I dug REAL deep yesterday and I'm 98% sure I have it straight. 11.3018.028.003 is the only cord to have the Higo Micro A plug, which is needed for DJI. It's only 780mm. The other similar SKU's ending in .000, .001, .002 have connectors for Bosch or Eagle Powertrain, which is Brose and have varied lengths available for those motors.

Not only is the correct extension cord sold out everywhere, it wouldn't be long enough for us unless you ran it janky outside of the frame, maybe. It does make me think they were never in stock in the US, since the tech is new and Higo Micro A is a common standard so extensions are available, so all it is not lost.

That would be to run it up the seat stay, out the port then into the downtube/BB area to connect to the motor? I wonder if the DJI needs to be dropped to access the ports or only the bashguard needs to be removed? I've looked for a DJI spec sheet or exploded drawing, no real luck

Super helpful... why red to black and not red to red?

I guess this discussion above about whether a spec ior cable s available or not show the difference between the well established brands like Bosch compared to dji.

For Bosch everything is well documented and supported locally. Dji, not so much.

I say good on the first adopters for taking the hit on all those set up niggles that occur with first gen products.

I'll be waiting, watching them in a few years time ill look af dji if the long term testing proves good and once there is solid back up support locally.

Well, I'll be a monkeys uncle. Sram Power Train (Brose) uses a Higo A connector so the extension cords for that unit should work with the DJI. Brose also has the Coast Shift, which is like Autoshift... pic of the connector for my 11.3018.028.001 that arrived today as proof I'm not posting only worthless posts.

No! Discussion above shows difference between people with real experience with avinox, smart shift function, sram parts needed and people without. And you sound like second category.

Yeah, my levels if fucks given on electric shifting cables are below zero.....

But my statement still stands. People buying DJI currently are first adopters and need to prepare for less than ideal back up support and occassional nigles and delays with supply and warrantee.

Hell, at the time of listing the frame for sale Troydon had not sorted a global supply of batteries...... Some customers in some countries might be waiting a long time before they can lay their hands on a battery and get their bike going.

Dont know how with Crestline, honestly. But I have Amflow for 9 month now, almost 3k kms snd 80k vertical meters. No probs so far. Anything I wanted to ask, I contacted amflow support and got servis like never before.
Btw, this weekend I finished bike trip alone cose my Bosch fried had second motor failure within 10 month….

DJI is pulling out of the USA market to to Skydio’s lobbying and DJI labeled as a military company by USA.
Can’t buy their drones or action cams no more (all out of stock), you can only buy accessories from their website.

What does that mean for their avinox motors and local support??? What does that mean for the 99 people who paid for this frameset?

sucks to be american, eh?

FAFO, ya‘ll voted for the POS

Supposedly the US does not want all the drone videos and action cam videos with full geotagged locations going on DJI’s Chinese cloud servers in case there is detailed footage of American infrastructure in there.
they can just use Musk e boy's Starlink for that :D
