Many thanks looks like I'll have to change the firmware.
So if I buy the Besst tool and harness that all I need?
Do I need an account with Bafang?
Thanks again I'm learning.

Hi everyone,
I'm just writing to say that by removing the charging port and putting it on the engine guard, I was able to install a 240mm travel telescopic seat post on the CEF50 size L.
For my riding style on the winding paths of the Alps, I find this possibility very useful.
I am really satisfied with this emtb.

I'm waiting for my CEF50 V3 size M. Can those of you who have this size tell me if a 170 seat post fits all the way in (without modifying the charging port). Do you know the minimum length of the rear brake hose? And for those who use a coil shock, what hardness do you use? I weigh 71kg bare and tftuned tells me 575lb (calculating with 80kg to compensate for ebike and equipment). Isn't that a bit high?

I'm on V2 size M and for me only 150mm seatpost would fit, and not all the way in because there's a carbon ridge in the frame above charging port to protect the cables.

I think I'll wait until I receive the frame to buy the seatpost. Although I don't think there are any changes in that area from version V2 to version V3.

Mine has a V1 front triangle size M, so I can use the oneup V2 Dropper Post 180mm.

And I'm 173cm tall.

Hi all, just wondering if anyone from the US has purchased a frameset recently, and if you got smoked with the import duty / tariffs? I'm really close to ordering a CEF50 or CEF55, but worried about an extra $1000 fee tacked on top. I'm wondering if the seller declared a lower value, or how it might have playedo ut for you? Might be safer to try and wait it out a little longer.

Sorry if this doesnt belong in this thread, but seems its been touched upon once or twice in the past here. Thanks for any info.

It was the main pivot bolt that fits into the rocker arm near the top shock mount. It was 8 mm too short amazingly. 👇

I eventually broke the mating bolt mid-ride but was able to ride it back to my truck with no damage, but marred up the paint a little at the pivot joints of the stays due to lopsided slack creating friction points. So, I found out the correct size and had both Ti pin/bolt custom made, in a weekend luckily.👍

No problems since (7 of 8 months). SZZS eventually sent a warranty replacement pivot pin/bolt assembly that I've kept on hand as a spare. Just poor quality control and I didn't have reason to pull the linkage bolts to check them all out prior.

I posted the whole story in our thread last June or July for pics and further details. 👊
Do you have specs of all screws/bolts? as quality is bad on threads especially. Replaced axels front and back already with titaanium … and rear shock but not sure of spces for the frame and motor bolts?

Off-hand, I don't have them sorry. I didn't publish them due to lack of interest a few years back. Also, mine were custom, so there were modifications made to the bolt head-size and thickness of both the pins and mating bolt. The diameter and length is the same. So those can be measured with a basic caliper for greatest accuracy.

I replaced, the rocker arm main pivot bolt, and the six (6) swing arm bolts.

I kept the original motor mount bolts and fixings. Those have been very reliable.

The customization total was expensive at $400 USD. They're strong and nice looking accent bolts, but I would probably not spend that much again, other than $100 USD for the main pivot bolt. This is only because the maker just happened to have the correct pin size on-hand and got it to me in several days versus 8 weeks when I finally got the OEM replacement from SZZS.

The shop is Huk-Tech here in the US. Let me know and I'll send his contact number if you're still interested.👊

Yes true/fact you mention Dereck I think from Huk-Tech… $400 is steep for bolts… i got my rear axel compeltely dead… have to drill it to remove it as it was stuck and threads stripped quickly… maybe will replace it with quick release one or something.

Yes, agreed on rear thru axle especially. I replaced both axles with Hard-lite as well at the outset, in part for bling color matching (vanity) and for higher quality upgrade. They've been very reliable. 👇

I've tried a lot of wings. That's what I like the most. It protects well. You just need to fix it well. The clamps broke in the cold.

Which type of chain guide did you get
