Guys, did you find a long-term solution to shift cable housing being broken and shift action getting worse due to suspension work? In my first installation I let cable housing pass through the windows without any sleeves, the shifting quickly got worse after a few jumps & drops because the steel strands were broken by constant twists and as a result, the housing was crushed, causing lots of resistance. I was hoping that a rubber sleeve like the one used on electrical cables would stiffen this part of cable housing and so far, after few months the strands are still not broken, but the housing is still being compressed in the sleeve and resistance is growing. I really don't want to go electronic and replacing cable housing every few months is painful as hell (foam tubing to silence cable rattling requires battery removal)... Any ideas?
