Cheviot Hills ,Northumberland .Saturday 20th August .

Morning all……just emptied the entire contents of my back pack, everything is soaked even a spare top in a “dry bag”.All the tools and spares I carry are now dried off. Did anyone have any dry kit ?????
I haven't even looked at my kit yet , just threw it in the garage and closed the door 😅

Nope, those gortex 5tens are brilliant water buckets!

Our Five Tens were on the shoe drier all evening and then stuffed with newspaper overnight. Still damp this morning! Other than that all is washed & dried

Went for a ride this morning at our local, Yearsley Woods, but just spent an hour scrubbing sheep sh!t off the bikes & tyres. All looking clean now and sparkling once again 👍🏻

Really enjoyed meeting every one at the swim class yesterday, had a good time. The fact that the sun was shining in Scotland kept me warm inside.
Just back from a visit to GT today on dry and dusty trails with no sheep shit to be seen.
Lokk forward to the next meet.

Evening Guys
Even though it was dry, bright and there was no sheep shit around I went out on the ebike today anyway. Thats just how I roll. Had to wear different shoes from last week though as they were still damp.:)
Did a bit of trail exploring incase you guys fancied a trip North, by that I mean Scotland. Managed to get lost but covered 38 miles and just over 4,000 feet of climbing. Route started from Innerleithen to Gypsy Glen, not unlike some of the terrain last week. Then to Glentress up to the mast, down a few of the trails and back to Inners with 20% battery left on the powertube 625. Hopefully this link works https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http...i3Qei5KxbAcXCL5pomKT1oYJlWoUsqK1lGGkBN7EFwLXe

Dam technology can't get it to hyperlink. The long tail at the bottom was where we got off course so route would probably be around 8-10 miles shorter with about 700feet less climbing. Not a great one for pics but will try and get a couple posted
@The Hodge did you get your bike issue sorted?

Evening....
I've done a similar route .. starting in Inners and managed to get lost too..the GPS just didn't have us in the right place and it took ages to get back on track ( I think it's the Bermuda Triangle of the Borders )..
The Drovers Road ( Gypsy Glen ) is a cracking descent heading into Peebles .. ..
Regarding the bike issues ..we have both ( The EMF ) reclaimed our bikes from the bike shop without them having done too much other than a diagnostic check ..I've had three local rides in as many days without any issues ..similar for Wayne so the thinking is that there was maybe some water ingress as both bikes recorded the same fault code within five mins on the day ..
It looks like both have healed themselves ..having said that I've booked it into the shop I've bought it from on the 9th September just in case something should go wrong again ( out of warranty on 30th ) ..and I will cancel a couple of days before should things still be running smoothly ..
There is another route which I really like taking in Inners red but extending along the Southern Upland Way ..dropping down The Minch Moor Road ..climbing back up to The Three Bretheren ..then back along the SUW..to the point where we left the red route ..back down to the Car Park at Inners trail head ..
It makes a great day out ..
We'll get something sorted soon ..once we are 100% confident our bike woes are behind us ..
Cheers 👍

A little bit out of context ..but I met another forum member up at Kielder this morning who hooked up for a ride ..no pics ..but he said he hadn't been on ( the forum) for a while ..@Eckythump?
( must be a different spelling ) ..nice meeting you ..a real speed demon on the descents ..
