The Official BLEvo Thread

I used to app for a while whilst riding today, but I've noticed a couple of bugs. It only ever shows the power setting as trail. Cycle through modes and stays in trail on the screen (Android).

Also when reduce down to eco via the bike, the power setting stays at trail. Can switch to turbo and get that mode, but not eco.

After that I turned the app off to restore normal riding settings.
Today I solved these issue (for Levo 2019 and Android)... In the next days I will release a new version.

Got my bike - firmware as per All Mountain Coaching so bought BLEvo - at the mo leaving as per normal. But good to know there is an option should i choose to go down that road

I have a Levo. Will I be able to change my bike back to normal without Specialised detecting it has been unrestricted using blevo, if it needs sending in for warranty?

You can use the restore button present in Mission Control, or change the wheel size to 2255 and the CM to allowed value.

I just released version 3.1.0 of BLEvo for Android.
I have completed the complete compatibility with the Levo 2019 thanks to the tests carried out by Fabio Paracchini. Thank very much to Fabio for the availability and time spent for the detailed tests.
Below the news:

- Fixed the Wh of the battery on 2019 with 700Wh battery
- Now the limit speed can be 20Km / h
- Added acceleration management for the Levo 2019
- Added also the serial code in the battery monitor for the Levo 2019
- Added cadence reading also for Levo 2019
- Enter statistics also for cadence and biker power with engine OFF (only for Levo 2019)
- Bugfix: notifications during the bike monitor for Levo 2019

Please update the App from Google Play.
Let me know if you find issue.
Thanks.

Paolo, what do you mean by “limit speed can be 20km/h”?

Hello All,
Yep, I'm a newbie... Just bought my 2018 Turbo Levo and bought the Blevo app.
I would like to change the max speed to 35 and I'm not sure of the following:
1. Where can I find the process how to change the speed?
1. Does this hack/jeopardize the bike?
2. Do I need to do it each time I turn on the bike or is it permanent?

Tried to find it in the forum, but with no success.
Thanks,
David

Sorry but the answer is only the same as written here

(Unlock speed) Is it possible to change the wheel size on the Levo 2019?

TCU version 2.019 or V1.7.0 = wheel size and speed limit are changeable

TCU version 2.025 = wheel size and speed limit are NOT changeable.

For the TCU version 2.025 I'm analysing other solutions
Hi Paolo,
what I was wondering:
Have there been regular Firmware changes with Levo 2018? If yes, How long did it take you to update Blevo App after firmware update released?
thanks.

I don't catch you question.. the latest version of Levo 2018 is x.23 and I think is not planned to update this firmware.. if it will be changed, I will try to keep aligned, but I cannot estimate the timing for updating BLEvo if I don't know the changes..

1. Simple sliding the speed limit slider
2. ????
3. You need to do only one time
Ciao

I will explain it:
We now have two TCU firmwares with Levo 2019, one TCU you can change speed limit etc. and with one TCU version you cannot.
Specialized claimed they will make it harder for third party apps to connect and make changes.
Has this restriction been activated with latest TCU version or why can you not change speed limit with latest TCU and you can with before TCU version?
And there were also firmware changes in Levo 2018 during the year and you could always manage changes in speed limit etc..
If you still not understand, forget my question :D

Ok but the issue is on Levo 2019, why you think that they will changed also Levo 2018?
Another thing is about restrictions.. it is not releated to the third apps, but to unauthorized access. This issue is solved by the pin in the Bluetooth connection. The third apps can be used (without changing wheel size)

ah okay, so it is more an issue for you to analyse the latest TCU code and crack it.. I was just wondering because as I could tell from your sayings is that it seems impossible to crack it, so the question for me came up what did Specialized change in the latest TCU that you can‘t crack it? but I think you also don‘t knowt it because you haven‘t done much testing with the new levo.. :P

Hi David - I’m also a newbie but I’ve used the BLEvo app from day one. @PaoloBLEvo has answered two of your questions but when you say ‘jeopardise’ the bike, do you mean cause physical damage or affect the warranty? If it’s the latter, the general perception appears to be that a factory reset on MC before any warranty work should take away any issues. I hope so anyway!

Thanks for the reply, did you change the speed?

I found I was reaching the 25kmh limit incredibly quickly so I increased it a bit (mainly to make the uphill ride to the trails I ride less tiring). Really pleased with the result. Still need to get a lot more riding in to fine tune the settings and may well reduce the speed limit a bit but it’s really good to have options.

Great, I'll make the speed slightly higher myself.
Any other setting you feel is worth while to change?

I’ve tinkered a bit with Peak Power settings but, in all honesty, don’t really understand it and how it affects the assistance level. I’ll try a few short rides with different settings to see what’s what.

Is there anywhere to compare user configuration parameters such as to maximise battery life, or is that what this thread is for?

The maximum battery life depends by too many parameters.
But I think the Smart Power is a good compromise. Set a legs power you want, and BLEvo will adapt the assistance percentage in function of this.. If it is higher, you will consume less battery but you will make more effort... if it is lower, you will consume more battery but you will make less effort.. Start with 150 Watt and test the functionality.
Let us know.

I tried to pair blevo on my iphone to my 2019 levo and its asking for a code that my bike is displaying. Where do I get this info?
The CODE was on the PEEL ME sticker on the frame. Dealer is "supposed" to stick in the back of your manual. Else remove the TCU from the frame and the number is also recorded on there.

Yeah, don’t really want to wear a HRM or drain the battery on my phone whilst I’m out though.

I just released version 3.1.1 of BLEvo for iOS.
These are the news:
- Corrected the value of Wh for the 2019 levo with 700 battery (added a factor of 0.9157)
- Now the limit speed can be 20Km/h
- Added the possibility to modify the acceleration for the Levo 2019
- Added cadence reading also for Levo 2019
- Bugfix PP % and Shuttle %

(there is still open a bug selecting the acceleration to 40%.. I will solve ASAP).

Please update the App from iTunes
‎BLEvo - For Smart Turbo Levo

Am I doing something wrong. I’ve just downloaded BLEvo app iOS and it finds the bike and connects but just hangs when trying to read the bikes parameters.

Running version 10.22.3
