My mate bought an S Works in large and I can't feel much difference in weight.

Very nice. I don't know about you but I tend to agreed with something Chris said to me yesterday whilst I was in the shop. After I got back from my short ride up the road, he said to me, "its a beast". I agree.

These are the two sizes I am deciding between (M and L). I am 5'10''
They do not look very different on the picture though...
I brought the large carbon comp and I am 5’10” and it feels prefect for me the main difference for me was the reach from the seat to bars I felt I was slightly over the top on the medium and the large felt perfect ?

I'm 5 9 and went with medium, the large was ok too, but with the 160mm seat posts on the experts, I couldn't get the seat low enough to be comfortable.

Saw that colour in the flesh a couple of days ago. Looks very nice.

I've got the 2.5 Minion on the front and 2.4 on the back, runs well with that config,
Hey Rob, how does the 2.4 work in the back in on sharp turns in wet terrain on slippery off camber roots? Does it hold on mostly or slide out? Thinking of getting that tire as well to replace the DHF 2.5 WT and will hope that it corners as well on those slippery roots which we ride almost every day here after nightly tropical showers up in the woods. I know that the straightahead traction of that tire is the best but I'm worried about cornering more. I ride corners very aggressively leaned over and downhill speed at the limit, and don't want to be going down without warning. Thanks, Jeff.

Also posted in the Mission Control section, please see below for a description of what Shuttle mode is. We're proud of it - it works well and there are no known bugs.

IMPORTANT: When we started production some months ago the available motor firmware did not support Shuttle mode - hence each bike needs a firmware update by the retailer prior to hand-over. This firmware update greatly improves walk-assist, and activates the shuttle mode & acceleration response features within Mission Control. Whilst we did all we could to ensure retailers understood the importance of this firmware update, it could be that one or two bikes left stores without it.

You can tell if your bike has had the firmware update or not by checking the display and motor firmware in Mission Control, display firmware should be 19b and motor firmware 6.1.0. If you are seeing 13a and 6.0.0 or 6.0.1 respectively, please contact your retailer and ask them to get your bike updated. Takes approx 5 mins.
There needs to be a way to do firmware through mission control

Planned functionality, Mission Control is capable of doing this. No dates yet though - this naturally needs considerable design and testing before releasing. Keep you posted.

I am about to pick up 2 bikes tomorrow - can you confirm that any changes to redesign the motor cover and fit the sponge kit will be available to the authorized dealers? Any idea on timing etc

Please test it until it's bulletproof. See Shimano? Make the opposite, or leave it as it is. I prefer to go to my dealer rather than to go anyway with my specy bricked...

Thanks for asking. Key point here is that these are small running changes, we consider them cosmetic and you shouldn't be too concerned about them. Yes, these are available via authorized retailers.

Sponges will be available to retailers around the end of November/early December depending on where you are in the world, hence we posted a way for riders to create their own if they prefer. Either way it's an easy job for a retailer or rider to perform and it takes 2 minutes to fit.

Motor covers I believe are available sooner (some countries will have these already) however please note that to replace the cover you need to completely remove the motor and with it we advise replacing the motor hardware kit (bolts and aluminium inserts/spacers). For such a small cosmetic change it is a lot of work (for authorised retailers only) and we wouldn't recommend it unless they were taking the motor out anyhow. Worth repeating that these bikes are designed to get wet and muddy and that these small changes won't make big differences.

The problem I have with this (as an £7250 Levo Expert owner) is that when I sell the bike potentional buyers might look at it as an early unfixed bike with the wrong motor cover and it will cost me.

I've just removed the battery for the first time to charge it, and this little part came off. I'm wondering if it's supposed to go:
- between the battery and the frame, but never got to properly align the part
- between the frame and the battery's mud protection, but spacing seems to be bigger than it used to be before I removed the battery
- maybe it goes somewhere else?

This rubber washer was used for shipping the battery only. When the retailer installed the battery it must have remained lodged between the rock-guard and the battery. Not harmful - but throw it away and don't try to install on the bike.

It’s a tubeless “ run flat “ system. Never damage another rim again. It’s on every bike I own. Schwalbe make it. It’s not for weight watchers mind !!

I’ve installed it too. Had it on my previous two ebikes. Wouldn’t be without it. Huge peace of mind regarding flats. I ride without tubes, tyre levers or puncture kits, and never had a single issue.

Do weight watchers ride ebikes!

So I took my Levo 2019 out for its first proper ride today and I bloody loved it. 22.35 miles in total, 13 mile round trip on road to and from the trails and 9.35 miles off road on QECP singletrack. Got home with 4% of the battery remaining and that was a mix of all modes although mainly trail used for the off road stuff with a few blasts of turbo here and there. Bearing in mind I am 6ft 2" and approx 16 stone I thought this was pretty good. I can fine tune that I'm sure.

I have the base model Levo and for the riding that I mainly do, the spec has worked extremely well and I see no reason to change anything at this early stage (pedals and tubeless are a must though).The Sektor fork performed better than I expected and for standard single track riding Its a perfect starting point, same goes for the level T brakes. Both would probably need to be upgraded in line with your riding type if need be but for a base model they work extremely well and I was impressed with both.
Having never ridden a 29er before I was dubious how it would handle but again I was blown away with just how easy to control and playful the bike was. I was popping wheelies and jumping the bike with ease and it felt great. It works, it just bloody works.

I did keep and eye on the build up of debris behind the back wheel and have attached a photo of during and after the ride for those interested in how this may be a problem. Strangely there was less debris at the end of the ride so Its either all ended up inside the motor :eek: or simply fell away from the frame during the ride. I'm not bothered where it went, as if a problem arises from this I will simply get it sorted by Specialized under warranty. The bike is being ridden as intended.

The motor by the way, was quiet, very quiet. You know its there at times, as you should but overall this thing sounds good and so far and I have no concerns. Great power too.

For prospective buyers, get the spec you can afford and don't be swayed by going up a level because you think you need better components. The bike works at base level and it works well. Upgrades can come later when you know what you need to change. Don't get me wrong if you can afford it then level up but don't feel you need to.

Bottom line is, I bloody love this bike and what it can do and I think you will too.
