I'm sure they've tested it with many thousands of openings. But it was fairly obvious that for some people it's going to break. I'm sure we've all had something in life with a similar flexible plastic hinge which eventually just tears off after repeated flexings and that's without bashing/rubbing it on rocks, trees, shrubs and so on.

Was also discussed in here to some extent with extra ideas on securing with velcro (alternative guards, not the Aqua Door).
Has anyone else had this issue? I think my sag was way too low and I am not careful enough but this is expensive. I've only put a couple hundred miles on the bike so far. has anyone come up with a hardening device for this area?
