Velduro Rogue 170/165 mullet Enduro with DJI

now that we can talk openly about it - @Velduro UK @Velduro Global HQ @Rob Rides EMTB - can you share any insight as to whether:
- the chainstay length is the same across all frame sizes
- if not, how are the different lengths achieved (I find it hard to believe that a new mold for the rear triangle was developed in these few months but at the same time i don't see how changes to the CNC swing link could have achieved the same

When I did measure hte September early production medium frame it was 437 at no sag center to center

Thanks!
Hi. It’s a new seat stay only. Same chain stays.

It also drops the BB a bit. I’ve not measured BB yet with the new stays.

I measured the original at 437mm and the new one at 445mm with the new seat stay.

Thanks Rob,

I recall from the graphs posted a while back the chainstay elongation through travel was -12mm in prg at ~mid of travel range. So it must be a sensibly shorter seat stay... I assume it also changes the head and seat angles .. looking forward to new geo measurements and ideally seeing them for different frame sizes. Maybe VelduroUK can help since they should have stock now?

Yes. It will change the BB height also

Do we know if this is on all sizes?

Stripped down the frame today to install the axs cable and it doesn't fit. The cable I have has a single pin connector :(. £109 wasted as I bought it back in January and not able to return

Can someone please tell me the correct part number I need for the cable so I can get the smoothshift

I've ordered another cable labeled 'Higo Micro A' (see photos attached).

And another question: I noticed @Rob Rides EMTB used the new RockShox Vivid Coil (MY27) in his recent build: Velduro UK on Instagram: "Check out @robridesemtb Custom Built M2s Powered, Velduro Rogue (size XL) 😍 His full rundown on the M2s is now available to watch on YouTube 📹 @veldurobikes"

I’m assuming Rob used an XL frame. Since the new MY27 piggyback looks slightly more compact than the previous version, does anyone know if it officially fits into a size L frame now? Or does @Velduro UK know? I’ve already got a RockShox fork ready to go and would love to keep the suspension 'in the family' for my build.

Can you show the end connector of that cable?

If I remember when I am with the bike I’ll measure the shock dimensions and post it here. I already measured it for the XL and it was well under the max size that Velduro publish.

I've tried to get a clear shot through the plastic, just in case I have to return it if it turns out to be the wrong part.

And thanks a lot, Rob – that would be amazing.

Since the rear brake mount is 203mm and afaik SRAM doesn't offer H2 in that size, what do people use for rotors with Maven brakes?

What length dropper have you got? Could it go in further (I see it up a little)?
There is a hard stop at 302mm on the L frame to top of seat clamp.
The oneup v3 210 has 290mm of insertion depth.
So a 240mm is unlikely to be slammed. Hopefully you have enough info to be able to determine if a 240 will suit.

Cheers, I might experiment with my v3 210mm from my Enduro 1st to get best high and low points before putting my new 210mm in.
Plus I’ll be using an Switchgrade hat adds a bit and gives extra drop on back tilt.
How tall are you? How do you find the saddle height high and low?

A disappointing 5 10 after a recent measurement.
Im setting it up the same as my kenevo initially, should be about right.

From my last 2 bikes, 800mm high is right but I’m thinking with all the power I won’t need to max my height….
Equally lowest low is always the aim isn’t it.

Is the Rogue the 1st avalible and only avalible right now with the new motor? Bonus is!!
Can anyone confirm the cable required for sram axs for the M2s?

Build pretty much complete bar shock.
Need to measure up and order some matte helitape for down and top tube, chain and seat stays.
A hope 17mm Q mount for the rear brake, got a 20mm on it currently.
Probably drop down to a 43/11 linkglide cassette once ive got some rides in from the 48/11.
All the frame bolts were loose, pivots, udh hanger, motor cover, bottle screws etc, so ensure you check them.
Its quite a fiddle to run the cables, dropped the motor and battery out to access the internal channels.
Oh and need to research single crown forks, haven't owned one for years.

Haven't even switched it on yet, or looked at the app, vpn etc.
There seems to be a complete unavailability of 12a fast chargers in the uk, ordered one from Italy. Hopefully won't get battered too much on import. Bike isnt much use to me without it.

Is there no longer a bash guard bolted underneath to protect the chainring?

Can someone make a picture of all the accessories that you get with the frame?
Is the headset already pressed in?
Is the Avinox Spider Lockring Tool included?
Thanks

@Velduro Global HQ
  • Why is there no information at all about the chainstay length that will come with the batch that is on the way to Europe / the new frames?
Is it really that hard to publish a geometry chart and clearly state what is included in a frameset?
I’m paying 4.5k for a frame and don’t even know exactly what I’m buying. That’s really unnecessary and annoying for customers.
  • I’m not getting a wrap, but if the chainstays have different lengths: will the Invisiframe wrap even fit properly?
  • Where can we buy the bash guards?
Are they definitely not included with the frame?
(Why wouldn’t you include them? That really makes no sense to me.)
@Velduro UK maybe you have some info?

Headset cups pressed in
Headset
Spider tool included
Spider and 34t chainring
Rubber bungs for unused frame cable ports
Speed sensor disc
Cranks
4a charger (booo)
Mini screwdriver for sim card slot
Seatpost clamp
Rear axle
2 handlebar remotes
No bashguard, extra apparently

I think that was it.

The 4a charger is ridiculous they should at least give you the option. Buying an additional charger and ending up with two makes not much sense.
I would use the 4a for most charges, but take the 12a with me for big days out and lunchtime fast charges.
What is especially annoying is the complete unavailability of the 12a charger presently in the uk.
Ordered one from Italy but its not been shipped yet, so maybe they were lying about it being in stock.

So ive currently got a bike i cant use for what i intended. Not driving 2.5 hours to wales for half a days riding.

anyone know if the new Vivid Air which has a much small piggy back will fit the Velduro in size small? The shock compatibility notes on Veludo site are based on the old Vivid Air which has a much bigger piggy back which won't fit mist sizes of the bike. Its the only thing holding me back as I do not like the X2 and don't want to run a coil.

SNAP! Just asked this as the piggy back on the new Vivid is much smaller, like 30% smaller!
