Hi there. Is it possible to fit a regular Rock Shox Superdeluxe 230x60 on a L size frame? If so,is the stock hardware the same?
Thanks

I haven't tried it, but I think not enough clearance for a piggyback. With my converted trunnion 205x60, there is around 5 mm clearance.

Hello guys, I'm a new member and I have a question for you. I have a Trek Rail 9 alloy 2020 size L and I want to change the rear shock. To do this I see that is necessary the adapter to mount a rear shock with standard mount. Now my original rear shock have trunnion mount.
Could you tell me which adapter I need to mount an Ohlins rear shox with standard mount please? I have also difficult to find a rear shock with these dimension 230x57,5, I see somebody use 230x60, which problems can I found? if there are problems the warranty is valid?

MRP Hazzard, 230x60, progressive spring. Was going to go with the DVO though i was told they're B/O until October. So far so good, shock feels great.
How are you getting on with the shock so far, any issues to report? According to the MRP website the hazzard uses bigger diameter shock hardware, were there any issues mounting it up with the standard trek hardware?

Hi. Read theough the thread but maybe i misses it. Anyone ries the Dvo Topaz on a Rail 5/7 large frame?

thank you

On a medium- sized Rail, when I tried the Topaz 3, the piggyback was hitting the frame at about 50-60% of the travel.

Hi, I have the new 2021 RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate RT3, DebonAir spring, Thru Shaft 3-position damper, 230x57.5 mm for sale. This has come off my Trek Rail 9 as I wanted to run a coil. Only has 15 hours on it.
Message me if you're interested.

Is the 230x 57.5 a rare size? I'm looking in the second hand sites locally for a X2 or RS super deluxe or coil & it seems there's everything but that size. Or is it a very common size & they get snapped up as soon as they come on the market???

Fox shocks are all the same 230x57,5-65, their stroke is limited by internal spacers which you can buy from Fox. Rail linkage works perfect also with 230x60 shock without any modifications. RS uses different piston rod/lower eyelet for different stroke lengths. They can be also swapped. Both shock travel change requires full rebuild/bleed.

Also the rockshox air can will foul on the frame

DVO Jade X uses different offset spring cups to change stroke. No rebuild required. It also has an offset reservoir so has plenty of frame clearance on full compression.

You can limit travel fair more easily than a full rebuild - just do what Ohlins/PUSH/Ext do & put a plastic travel spacer under the bump stop.

You can buy nylon washers with the ride ID/OD on eBay/Amazon in various thicknesses - just pick what you want to run whatever travel you like.

FWIW I run a Push shock on mine. A 65mm stroke has clearance & takes it to ~170mm rear travel.

its possible to change this bumper space travel on a rail 7 with stock super deluxe ?

No. Spacers under the bump stop only work on coil shocks.

I have got this shock on my 2021 bike it's the best air shock I've used.
But the shock I really want & the one you want is the shock fitted to the 2021 Slash (I believe it will fit)
With your 170mm Zeb?

Edit. I'm talking about the top end Slash with the same shock as the Rail 9 & 9.8 but with a 62.5mm stroke.

Isn’t it the same shock just with more stroke?
