I have just bought a canyon spectral on 8.0 from 2018 and i am Always blowing through the Travel at the back, and i'm already way over the recommanded psi for my weight in my Fox dps

So is a coil shock a great Idea ? If it's the case witch coil shock ?

I Saw people saying that going for a coil will increase the Travel going from 150 to 160, because the air shock is 230x60 and coil are 230x65.
Is having more Travel is a good Idea ?

The canyon spectral on 2018 have a head angle around 67' with a 150 mm fork but the spectral 8.0 have a 160mm fork so if i understand correcly the bike should be slaker by 1' so now or would be around 66 to 65' head angle. Is that true ?

Is going 170mm UP front is a good Idea ?

Yes the dhx2 fits perfect and gone 230x65 once you get it set up there’s no bob peddling and loads of grip/plush,win win all the way

I've only been using fox dps, which is pure shock for 4 years, and I'm looking for coil shak because it's broken
Someone said that if you use a coil shock on a yoke strut, the shaft of the coil shak will become overloaded and break, which can also lead to frame damage
Has your coil shock setup been available for a long period of time without any problems?

I fitted marzocchi bomber cr 260mmx62.5mm big improvement over the air shock also fitted the coil conversion kit to the fox36 rythem forks can just blast throught anything now. Only problem i had was the water bottle rubbing on the spring so removed cage and soaked it in boiling water and bent it back refitted and bottle clears the spring.
