Pole Voima 190mm Travel EMTB

Finally building up my Voima, still couple minor bits missing but it’s coming together nicely.
While my voima is 2022 model in docs, I got updated rear swing arm with adapter-style brake mount, like on new ID models. Also holes in this mount are a bit too shallow and I need shorter bolts for my brake setup (hope h adapter + 220 disk).
Idk if my seat-post clamp is new or not.

Done with initial build-up, what remains is some fitting and tuning here and there.
This is size K4 (doesn’t look like it right?), with 213mm dropper, 46mm riser bars.
Seatpost is at maximum insertion depth, and with 170mm cranks is just perfect for my ~36” inseam.

No riding impressions yet as I’ve caught covid and still recovering, can’t wait to ride her properly as soon as possible.

The Voima checks so many boxes, I’m just a little concerned about weight. Will you guys please share full build weight and general info on your build?

Weight isn’t an issue and they can be anywhere between 50 and 56lbs depending on the build. Mine was 50.8lbs with a 40 on it, so it would have been even lighter with a single crown, but mine was definitely on the light end of builds. I’ve since sold it and ordered the new “Voima Race ID frameset” which will be lighter than the last one when it’s built.

The weight you were able to get your bike down too was super impressive, but also a little deceiving.....lol
You're running EXO casing tires on a full DH ebike....lol

If you put the exact same size times on your bike in even just double down casings the weight would jump up to 52lbs and your pedals are crazy light. If you put flats that's another 1/2lb of weight. So that would put the weight at 52.5lbs.

Certainly not trying to say anything negative about your bike because it's awesome but that doesn't tell the whole story....lol

And I rode that same Voima on my local black DH trails and black bike park trails without any durability issues. DH is my thing, I like to bomb DH as fast as I can, (for an old geezer). I just happen to be pretty smooth and easy on my wheels so I don’t need DH casings or inserts. I was just pointing out that the Voima can be built lighter. As for the pedals, mine are super light, but they’re also very durable and I’ve been running those pedals on all of my bikes for several years with no issues. I intentionally build up all of my bikes as light as I possbile, while still being durable and reliable for me. That may not be possible for some riders, but it is for me so that’s how I roll. 🤘🏻😎

For sure, I was just pointing out that most people shouldn't expect their Voima to be as light as yours.....lol

Yours is pretty much a unicorn for what this bike was designed for....lol

I would be willing to bet that 99% of these bikes built up would be 54lbs plus.

I had a trip there today with the intention of sitting on the K1 and k2 for size.
On my arrival I was met by the owner Phil Seton who has a massive background in motor cycle racing and is expanding into the Ebike scene with Pole.
He along with his colleague James took the time to size me up on both bikes and then let me go on a extensive test ride on both bikes.
I have rarely seen this sort of specialist customer service.
So guys if your in the market for a Voima but are wary of all the international sales etc, you now have a hub here in the UK. 👍

What do you mean a hub pole are direct to customer. So how would they help apart from sizing and a test loop which is really good of them tbh.

I’m 189, ordered a K3 race ID frameset last night. I almost went K2 but decided it might be too much of a gamble. Can’t wait to get it! Not sure if I’ll put a Fox 40 or Zeb 190 on it. Maybe a mullet?
Mullet with a fox 40. You know it makes sense. (y)
EDIT Although you need a very low stack headset to fit a 40.

What blows my mind is you can get a full build voima ID for nearly 200 euro cheaper then a voima ID with race motor excluding taxes etc

But in addition to the limited edition race motor and race axles, the Race ID comes with all of the options, protective wrap, chain guide/chain guard, PE slider and Huck Norris inserts. So if you want it all, you gotta pay. Or just get the regular ID pack for less.

I understand what your saying but a full bike or a chain guide, invisframe and some huck norris inserts come on.....

99% of folk won't ever race their bike so they won't need the race mode which i imagine sometime this year might be a aftermarket tune that can be applied to CX motors.

Well that is definitely fubar. What is your weight and what's your riding style? Biggest features that you hit?

I might hold off purchasing until I see the outcome of this. I'm pretty hard on gear.

Agreed. My biggest fear with buying a Pole is that I know any frame related warranty issue would be a pain to deal with. The way the company has handled issues has been less than stellar from what I’ve seen.

I’m 220lbs kitted up. I’m aggressive trail 🤷‍♂️ don’t hit any features per se, occasional trail hit here and there. I’ll keep you posted.

I have never been a fan of excessive milling marks
Its seems to me your introducing break lines in the job like scoring a tile to break it
A good milled surface should be barely visible its one of the things that has put me right off these bikes from day one

I hope you get it sorted swiftly thou .

I use the carbon version of this 12 degree backsweep bar.

780 is too narrow for me, also they measure rise in a weird way. Their 45 rise is more like 25 on other handlebars. Also way way too stiff. And prices are just wrong.
Syntace also has 12° version, 5mm wider, true rise measurement, and has carbon bar compliance feeling.

Got my Voima ID after my factory visit. The factory is amazing really, the work they achieve and attention to detail is superb.

It really is such a unique manufacturing method to these bike. Leo can make any design changes as required and send to production immediately - the very same day a frame is produced with that change.

By the way, I got a K2 and am 190cm 😊
