I'd happliy host a weekend of camping here on my farm in the middle of the Black Mountains with some tours of the best emtb rides if there was enough interest.
I love this thread to see all the different and very varied places that people ride in. I used to love hiking in the Black Mountains when I lived in the UK. A very beautiful area and I'm sure you'd get a lot of people to take up your offer!

Now then ... Here's one you won't see too often. Last Friday my partner and I rode up to Minch Moor at Innerleithen, got ourselves married at the Cairn stones, then jumped back on the bikes and descended down the red trail, Angry Sheep, Cresta Run etc before hitting the Golfie 👍🏽

Still waiting for the official photos, and they'll be a YouTube vlog of the day released soon from a well known veteran of the mountain biking community 😀

Fantastic! All the best!

Love doesn't make the world go round, love is what makes the ride worthwhile!

Late afternoon ride in The Simonside Hills , Northumberland .
Crazy to think that after riding in these hills dating back 30+ years that there are still tracks unridden ..
Beautiful day 27c ..but with a lovely breeze which more than made things bearable ..
The eastern end of the Cheviot Hills in the background

Nice pics my wordsmith friend

No emtb pics here. Last week’s vacation at Lake Chelan, Washington. The wood was washed out of the forest by heavy rains earlier in the year and floated “downstream” (there’s a dam at the SE end of the lake). I sucked a small piece of wood into our jetski (not the rentals in the photo) which got wedged near the impeller with the resulting cavitation resulting in a one hour trip back to the dock at the blistering speed of 5mph.

We watched water bombers scooping water from the lake to fight the Chelan Hills fire (forgot to photograph the aerial tankers).

Son and his fiancée rock climbing in Mazama. I don’t like heights so I was the photographer.

We have some close friends in Manson a bit northwest of Chelan, beautiful place. Also amazing how deep that lake is for its small size, 1,486 feet (453 meters).

Our time-share is on Wapato Point in Manson. It's the third deepest lake in the U.S. It's a beautiful area. We got lucky that there wasn't any wildfire smoke in the vicinity this year. In August, 2023, the smoke was so bad you wouldn't have been able to see the other side of the lake in your photo.
