Pic of the Day

Is that any worse than Play that Funky music white Boy. Tip is play it on radio πŸ“» it either goes or stays forever.
Yeah, thanks for the tip. πŸ‘πŸ» Probably won’t work though. My granddaughter will likely start singing another song and that will be my riding theme for a while. πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

Tell me about it my Grandaughter gets singing and piano lessons. The folk that teach them put on a show with all the kids they teach. Amazing night all under 13 . Our Ria stole the show with I'm Feeling Good , only watched the video forty times .

Still snow in the backcountry but I did finally get my favorite ride in.

Turbo lap around Wolftrax enroute to Mallaig. Managed Ayers rock this time ,bottled it last time. Secret is shut your eyes. Commando memorial , sands of Morar and steam train doesn't get much better for me anyway. Waiting for 6 o'clock ferry to Knoydart.

One of my favourite mtb trips ..Knoydart ..exploring that peninsula over the course of a few days ..then a charted boat trip over Loch Nevis from Inverie to Tarbet and riding along the track hugging Loch Morar ..to Morar where we had left our transport with permission at the hotel of the same name ..
Truly magical

Finally got to take the new bike into the Royal National Park. It was amazingly good.

The downhill sections that used to challenge me, were so easy to run at speed. And the jump run with gap jumps, no issue at all if you cased the gap a little bit. The bike just absorbed it. (Sorry about the focus. My mate is useless with a camera)

And when I got it completely wrong, No drama. The 180mm of fork travel just took the hit, and I rode away fine.

Might go to jail for this but the bungalow in the background is the entrance to a cold war top secret nuclear bunker.

A lot of Cold War secret bunkers nowadays in UK. But eventually powers that be can't resist making a shilling out of them . Programme on last week about one in the middle of a housing estate in Inverness you can visit. I went in to the one in Fife advertised as Scotlands secret bunker. Worth a visit though any of them well we enjoyed it.

That accomodation is where we stayed ..and had the place to ourselves ..
We also had evening meals in The Old Forge ..and were almost tempted to take up an invitation to join a Hen Party returning to Skye on their water taxi ..but how then would we have got back ..( and Im not at all sure that the missus hasnt got a tracker on my phone ..try explaining that !) 😁

You mean Sandaig B and B with snooker table.

There was no snooker table when we were there ..maybe Ive got the wrong place but that pic looks a lot like it ..rooms let on an individual basis ..and self catering ..breakfast was at a small cafe on the seafront ..
This place is about three miles from Inverie in middle of wood

Playtime at Kielder ..we are currently down to one car at the moment so having to share with the missus who takes priority for work ..so I was ready for this today ..
A mizzly misty day so any idea's of staying dry were quickly forgotton ..but the damp/wet surface seemed to knit the trail together nicely and the grip was fantastic ..not once did anything feel sketchy ...l loved every minute .
Last night from the garden ..Deadwater Fell is in the far distance ..

Deadwater summit this morning ..I went for the view πŸ˜‚

The second ( but top) section of Mile Down the Downhill track is now open ..I had a little look but then got hold of my senses and went back to do the "severe" option rather than the "Extreme "

Then went back over to the other side of the valley and did Skydive on the Lonesome Pine trail ..
In total 3.5 Skydive
1x Deadwater summit including 2x Twist & Shout section.
The eagle eyed amongst you will have noticed that the ascent figure is lower than the descent..due to the fact I forgot to start recording from where I parked ☺️

A few pics from my trip to the Valle Maira in the southern Italian Alps last week. My third visit and this time I invited a couple of UK friends to join me. Their only experience of e-biking was when they hired Pivot Shuttles when we rode together in Finale last year. This high mountain adventure trip was another new experience for them and it kinda pushed their boundaries a bit further! That's not the reason they seem to be always pushing their bikes in these pics :ROFLMAO: it was just very very steep and crazy loose scree. Worth it for the views though!
