Bike cafe not too far from me. What an absolute gem!
1) Surgeon misplaced her scalpels so she improvised, broke her lunchtime beer bottle and used that!Hero status incoming ...Just make up something as to how it happened
2) I went to the rescue of a damsel in distress and her boyfriend slashed me with a broken bottle!
3) Shark attack!
4) Change in NHS policy: Anyone who is not "working people" get scars. (Shades of the MASH question: "big stitches or small stitches?" Next question: "Officer or enlisted man?" Answer "enlisted" - make them big!")
Wasn't expecting that as your pic of the day or is it a clue about the real reason for the stitches?
Went out this afternoon for a plod. The wind was like a furnace. Yesterday it evaporated your sweat .. today it just engulfed you in fire.

2 beers later I somehow had 4 more.
Anyway, had a great ride back and put away lots of my bone breaking concerns, grabbed air and cornered like golden balls - it was great.
Mate on the way back renovating his pad, his dog sits with him ..
Oh yeah. Don't drink and ride. Unless you live in the middle of nowhere and can ride over all the fields.. then it's still stupid. But ...

As its getting closer to school holidays & holiday season in general I thought it best ( as a resident of Northumberland ) to warn you off visiting this part of the country if you are having a " staycation" this year ..and with all the hullabaloo in Spain & Greece at the moment Im guessing a good few of you will be ...?
Apart from the fact that it's crap here with very little to see & do ( you'd be better off staying in the south or by-passing the place & heading up to Scotland ) it would appear that the message hasn't reached too many ears ..so far
Myself & The Missus had a ride over to the Coast today and were genuinely shocked as to how overcrowded our favourite beach was ..
So to save yourself some heartache if you were looking for some peace & tranquility..stay well clear of this place

Nice and cool on coast piping hot inland. Not a lot of folk walking about those i seen looking hot and weary. Lot cooler on bike . Met Alex an old hill walking pal out on his analogue bike honking up the brae. he's only 80 though
