Pic of the Day

Full compliment of Astros out today. Had to pull the Ole Marin out. Fit some flat pedals to it. But it was a great afternoon of bonding between the kids, and their Old Man ...... And it was great to show them the Old Bull still has some tricks up his sleeve ...... :ROFLMAO:

Looking north over Steyning. This climb is known locally as c*** hill. 16% hitting 21% in places, it's hard to keep the front wheel on the deck & you definitely don't want to stall halfway up. Worth it for the view though.

Cairngorms today Sgorr Gaoith and Mullach Clach a Bhlair ????. Up there was the place to be , cool windy but still t-shirt weather. Few lads on analogue bikes walking its a fair slog up. I tried this climb on a hardtail 25 years ago at least . Walked a lot going up and broke brake cable on way down so had to walk down as well. Only one crash today . Sadly i scratched bike the first one is always the worst 😥 . Back at Aviemore temperature a balmy 26 c.

Just to remind you gentlemen Hodge Towers holds a certain dress code ...so you'll be absolutely fine 😉

Just to make things clear to all replying to this thread. A word of caution while contemplating a visit to @The Hodge Towers……..Dress code means “Dress” Code and the shed is not the safest place to be………
“You can check out anytime but you can never leave lyric” comes to mind 😳

Howay big fella it’s a scratch, a medal from trails accomplished. Build a bridge and get over it 😥

Went long distance today mainly on the High Peak Trail (HPT)with detours onto some less well known bridleways. First two pics on the HPT (formerly the Cromford and High Peak Railway) one of the oldest railway bridges/tunnels built in 1825.

Next pics Long Dale, full of ancient burial sites and old lead mining activity, always peaceful and beautiful, and surprisingly little known. And if you zoom up the last pic the 'sombrero' shaped clump of trees in the far distance at the skyline is Minninglow.

Never seen a offroad 3 wheeler brilliant.
Recent funding at Kielder from Northumberland CC went towards creating / re-profiling ( widening) an existing trail at Kielder which had been closed since Storm Arwen to accommodate adaptive ( 3 wheeled) bikes .
It's called Lone Star and is great fun on any mtb ..
Unfortunately I've yet to see any adaptive bike on it..which is a shame 😕

Alves Framesets near me used to make all sorts of adaptive cycles in the 90s . Sadly got the oil and gas bug so doesn't make frames anymore.

After 30km in 28 celsius nothing beats hot porridge topped with fresh coconut, apples, strawberries, granola and caramel sauce washed down with a glass of ice cold water.
Porridge $14.
Water free.

$14...!!
Fair enough it looks very nice with all the extras..but I'd want a year's supply of porridge for that amount of dosh 😂

That company makes them for the disabled, you would be surprised where that thing could go. We have two in our Nor Cal Ebike group.

Poor Jesse eats a lot of dirt. but it loads of power and good suspension means he follows us even on steep tight single track. He jumps with it and makes pretty tight switchbacks. When they crash of the side of the trail and or break down in the middle of nowhere it is a pain. But it is worth it to have your friends with you.

Its awesome that he can get out and play as a paraplegic. Never give up!

Where did you buy the other five fresh ingredients and did you pay your partner to make the meal and wash the dishes?

Ouch . I only know Scottish porridge oats that's what I meant by funny looking That looks like nuts or some kind of breakfast cereal to me . I worked on Norwegian ships for many years , just don't remember that. But I'm sure they have some sort of traditional dish similar to our oats on xmas eve .🤔
