Maybe they just like bikes with really really really long chain stays ?

Green Castle at Portknockie , the bairns jump off here in the summer. Temple of Pomona at Cullen it had a tea room for the ladies from Cullen house . They changed clothes in here and a tunnel went under the road to nearby beach. 1870 ish it was built.
Llandegla this morning, bit chilly and frosty at the top but survived.

Llandegla on Saturday, was a little muddy!
A few days of decent weather on some loamy trails.
Not much to see here except a camouflaged entrance to a secret trail. Just jump the log on the left.
This is steeper than it looks. The jump is completely level with a 12’ drop, and then 2 more.
I have 50 seconds before moss starts growing on my bike.
A slight drop with lots of switch-backs.
This shadow thing followed me around for a while.

Started off in rain but not on for long. I did this run 20 years ago 
Dropped off by bus and met bus 40 miles away . This was a shortened version. . Not happening today too wet and don't think battery would have managed the climb back out . Great feeling getting the Levo through the burn without falling in . Then seen the bridge twenty metres up stream. Just when you think the day could have been better. Probably the worst single track road I have driven on. Always said I wouldn't want to meet a car coming the opposite way on this road . Met one on way back up the hill he had a trailer so I reversed , scrape crunch . I never was a good driver but but reversing down a twisty steep hill even with the camera could onlyend in 
. Good hill walk today though. Kinloch Hourn worst single track in Scotland . Usually a herd of Highland coos roam along this road but their off on their winter holidays be back in summer to take out a few mirrors.

@Binhill1 .Tried getting there (Barisdale) from Knoydart a few years back after getting the ferry over from Mallaig ..
Saying tried as the rain was biblical and we decided to turn back and headed up another valley where the sun was shining( Glen Meadail ) on a there & back ..
There is some great riding on the Knoydart Peninsula though ..where we spent a few days ..culminating in a small boat charter to take us over to Tarbert and a ride along the shore of Loch Morar back to where we had parked our cars ( with permission)at the Morar Hotel.. Great memories ...and quite an adventure ..
That must have been a good 10 years ago as the missus was on a girls & kids camping trip with two of her friends at the same time in Arisaig and we called in to say hello before heading home ..I just remember Alex & his friends being so young ..time flies

Great area Arisaig I cycled that shore on Morar last year but had the ferry to catch so didn't go as far as I would have liked. Rough cycling though. A few have tried Kinloch hourn to Barrisdale I went about a hundred yards yesterday just for a look not in to hike a bike anymore. Had the May day weekend there last year with a walking club im in brilliant. Arran this May day holiday not taking bike though walking hills. Too much on offer my club are on about Wales that would be great as well especially with bike.
