Pic of the Day

Out boozing tomorrow night, so I fitted in a quick 25 to knock off about a fifth of the calories I'll be putting back in at the pub tomorrow. This is the other side of the valley from where I was the other night, not quite as picturesque.

Hope the battery was off if you're expecting a full fifth of the calories ? 😂

Bank holiday ride around the Ladybower classic loop, nearly 20 miles and 2500 ft of climbing. There seem to be more rocks in potato alley than I remember. The levo managed the trip on 2 bars and the additional small battery.

If you don't have access to really cool and exciting mountain bike trails, just buy a really awful bike !

Riding something like this on almost any terrain gives the same adrenaline rush as any world cup downhill course.

As far as I can tell this model comes with a "blinder" .. it looks like a mirror, but is too small and useless to see anything other than an aircraft carrier behind you - and if that's happening, you have other things to worry about.

I think the blinder can be adjusted to reflect the sun into the eyes of on coming drivers who are going to fast. Though with these handlebars, that's probably not a good idea as you'll have no idea what side of the road you'll be on when the car passes.

It has many other advantages over our normal bike choices. Whilst it comes with a bell, everything on the bike rattles so much that people can hear you approach from several miles away. It has handy storage for spare underwear and for the copious amounts of alcohol you'd need to consume in order to find the courage to get back on it to ride home.

One other huge advantage from a promotional point of view, this is the first bike where you don't think the Purion display looks ugly - because everything else is just so much more horrible !

😂😂
So cynical.... It has a chainguard to stop your slacks getting tumbledried...looks like it might even be carbon, internal cable routing AND pedals!! Folks pay good money for that lil' ol' package 😁👍

I'm surprised it's not made from cast iron.

True, it has a comfortable saddle .. and the chainguard is quite cool when it comes to arriving somewhere without looking like rats ate your trousers on the way.

It seems to have very half hearted cable routing and uses copious amounts of zip ties.

The brakes are hydraulic disk and obviously comply to some safety system where they never become dangerously hot, or even warm ..

Didn’t take many photos so just grabbed a screenshot from the GoPro

😀 yes, it's such an underused biking area, which is good because its generally quiet and there are such good trails to be ridden. Especially now it's bone dry!
Tomorrow's ride out for me is from Hawnby..

It has obviously been designed that way so that the owner can safely park it anywhere without the fear of it being stolen.

Is this a stealth add?

Yes Hambleton Hills area is our little corner of the moors and it’s full of fantastic views for miles in all directions. If you want some quality trails to ride then take a look at Kilburn Woods area, but be aware they’re very steep!

🙂 yes Kilburn is practically in my backyard with good 'natural' trails and as you mention some steep stuff!
I tend to play out on the open moors as I prefer a view and I also have a bad habit of connecting with trees!
