When I lived in Courtenay BC, Vancouver Island (most of my life), we had an annual race there called “Snow-To-Surf”.You have beautiful weather, the best weather, weather like nobody's ever seen before, everyone says it, such smart weather...
I wouldn't have posted that pic ..you look to have waaay more than your fair share of the white stuff..before the 25% Tariff was imposed on our weather
Well, that’s the morning taken care of…what did you do in the afternoon? When I lived in Courtenay BC, Vancouver Island (most of my life), we had an annual race there called “Snow-To-Surf”.
DH Ski, Cross Country Ski, Mountain Bike, Road Bike, Half Marathon, Canoe, and finally a swim.
There was always a big party at the end of the race in Comox, BC. Good times View attachment 154084

YeahWell, that’s the morning taken care of…what did you do in the afternoon?
Hardcore!Yeah, now that I think about it,…ended kinda early, 1:00 pm.
A mass start at 8:00am by numerous teams stating high on Mount Washington ski hill. I think 7 athletes per team. Some pro teams from as far away as Australia. I did the road bike portion one year.
If you could still walk straight, you could play a round of golf in the afternoon. We liked the social and reunion festivities after the race instead.
Definitely Hardcore socializing. I had to stop a few times for a break.…and needed a nap afterwards.Hardcore!
That's pretty much the temp here and it's the middle of our summer!!
What the fk are you on about ..grrrr..I get so angryMovie line quote.
Did you know, Putnam, more people are murdered at ninety-two degrees Fahrenheit than any other temperature? I read an article once - lower temperatures, people are easy-going. Over ninety two, it's too hot to move. But just ninety-two, people get irritable.
Thought you would know that famous line. It Came From Outer Space movie 1953 . Or was it The Day the Earth Stood Still 1951What the fk are you on about ..grrrr..I get so angry![]()

Puh! Are you sure its not broken or may need calibration?
Very cold out today probably due to too much talking and too much turbo. Danny came along on his throttle bike . News to me it recharges a bit on the down hill. Margets Meringues didn't touch the sides.

Might get myself up there on Monday or Tuesday next week been a few months since Iv been up thereHaving been told that part of the new Downhill section was complete at Kielder( by a main man at Forestry England) ..I was skeptical but needed to see for myself ..( on the old 3descent)....
My skepticism was well founded as I saw a digger in action just along from Three Dog Climb and two trail builders at the top of this section confirmed that they had completed 3/4 of the track with work ongoing ...
The intention is to create the longest downhill track in England ( not the UK) ..so while this section is nearing completion there is still months of work to do before that becomes reality.
From what I could see ..(which was limited ) there are some " interesting " rock features ..( which will have cluck cluck options)& huge berms ....looking good . View attachment 154227 View attachment 154228 View attachment 154229 View attachment 154230 View attachment 154231
Some other pics ...
