Sadly some folk reach for the camera in some situations when they should be probably giving first aid. I was at concert last night probably filmed more songs than I should have . That's about only public places I would record with a phone. So guilty as charged

Ah yes …technology …I’m guilty also.

Our morning EMTB gang take regular pics of our adventures, post a few of them on Strava, and we all have a chance to comment or request those pictures.

But the camera doesn’t like me. (Imagine a gargoyle choking on a gummy bear).

Most of my neighbours have door cameras. That has pretty much stopped the porch-pirates. My bikes have Air-tags and use GPS. My front entrance, garage door, smoke alarms, vehicle(s)and probably a few other things, are connected to the internet.

How in the world did we ever survive before technology? …and how do I move my mouse?

All my neighbours have cctv so I don't need to bother.

Made a spontaneous weekend trip to Serfaus Fiss Ladis in Austria. Ended up enjoying three runs on my bike, then had a sudden and harsh otb on the scenic Frommestrail, virtually out of nowhere – probably after my flexing Acid front mud shield somehow interfered with my front wheel on a fast and gnarly section. Bloody thing, I should have binned it long ago! I am quite glad I wore complete protective equipment, as I required every component—particularly my chest protector, full-face helmet, and elbow protectors— I “only” bruised my left hand. So I walked instead of riding for the remainder of the weekend, which is of course still quite pleasant when this occurs in the Alps.

Unfortunately I don’t think cameras will be banned in public places. I don’t like the idea of being recorded without my permission. Recently a dinner party was secretly recorded by a guest, who later told everyone and that she would post it on FB. Everyone was pissed.

GoPro cameras mounted to helmets of riders give me pause.…whether they are off or on.

If that had happened to me I would have asked her not to post anything anywhere. If she did so, I woud then tell her that we were done. To not tell people at a private function that they were being filmed is very bad manners.
