Haibike All Mnt 10 Pinion MGU

In what respect - miles? as stated pretty low compared to old bosch but I'm putting that down to sheddar tyres, 2 foot mud, real mud and pretty cold?
As far as liking it in the real world - YES. Loving it. Ride pretty much in flow which if tour on the bosch and that seems to do most things but hysterically fun when in Fly (turbo). In these conditions it has not missed a beat - chain came off the other day but think that was bush, ferns, crap, popped back on and rode out of a bog!! Get home, wash it off for 3 minutes and pop in garage. I try and keep the snubber clean and lubricated as for a round of plastic that does loads - keeps belt on and stops it slipping. (have a look at Andy boy - @OldNorthern_eMTBer on you tube - he's documented most problems with his Nicolai and they have now swapped over the snubber to the same on the haibike).
Let's see some pics and hear your thoughts when you do get it.
Hi yeah I get 30 miles out of my Levo and couldn’t cope or want less really. The low maintenance is probably going to clinch it for me as I’m sick of mech and chain issues in the mud at the moment. How do you find the 120nM in gears 1-4? Sounds a real boon on the very steep stuff. Cheers

Hi All
It's been a while since purchase and think I've done about 400 miles on it so just thought I'd give a bit of a review/ what's it like type thread.
I've come from a 2020 Jam 6.8 Bosch. First impression in almost all rides was that the Jam is an oil tanker of a bike, where the Haibike seems very nimble (almost twitchy) and agile, which is strange as they both weigh nigh on the same.
Motor delivery is also very different and takes a bit of getting use to. Bosch seems all power and gives a kick with a Jeremy Clarkson POWER shout, where as the Pinion is very linear and you don't realise anything is happening.... but then you are at the top of the hill. I did try and play around with the settings in the app but then went back to the factory as that seemed to give best variation between the modes - off/eco/flow/flex/fly - I spend most time in Flow and that seems to do most single track round where I am but decent oomph from flex and fly as well.
Noise - lots of YouTube reviews have said its noisy, in 1-4 very, 5-8 so so and 9-12 silent. there is a clank between 4 & 5 and 8&9 which is a tad scary first time under load but then like everything after a few rides you don't hear / feel them - it's just part of your bike.
Gears - just the BEST bit - sounds like the noise of an arrow on Robin Hood, so fast, so easy, so precise, just love the gears. I have mine set to go into 4th gear when you stop which is wonderful on gates and stoppages. Shifting gear without moving is also fantastic - don't realise how useful it is.
Brakes - I'm not that techy but they stop me. Forks and suspension - I'm not that techy but seems to be a smooth ride where I bike. Dropper - slight niggle here as you need to sort of sit going forward to drop it (on Jam was just straight up/down) but not sure if that is regular or not and a real minor thing. Mullet - don't notice it really unless that's what makes it feel real nimble and agile coming down hill.
I think all in all, as I am not techy and just want to ride, it's a great bike - the no gear faff is just so reassuring for me - everything just works. I think the pinion motor could do with a bit more Bosch (or guess now it's the avinox) type power and a bit more meaty but my legs have always given out before the motor!! It's definitely not lacking power for sure.
Battery - 800watts and seems to do 30-40 miles, although has an annoying battery saver when it charges to 80% and been caught out twice on long ride. The app. could do better or I need to read up more, I'd like to change screens but cant seem to 'set' a main screen, just goes back to the front screen and can another moan is that its all KM - those dashed Europeans. No miles or MPH.
Going back on to my old bike - no, just feels very agricultural with chain, cassette and gear change. Can it be better? Yes of course, put this drive train on a Bosch /DJI and that would be perfect. Am I glad I changed to this bike - Absolutely.
If any other riders out there that are more clued up on the app - setting screen, getting best out of the drive modes, setting up how to record / follow a route please let me know. THANKS.
Just spent the last day reading up about this very bike. Love the idea of getting rid of the rear cassette, chain and derailleurs set up. Current bike that I have had since 2021 is a Cube Stereo HP 160 so in the process and trying to work out second hand value, where to try and sell it and should I be spending a large amount of wonga on a new bike.

Is it me, or are the CF10 and CF11 TRN/IQ models in short supply? Looking at shops online there don't seem to be a lot in stock, and the ones available are heavily discounted. Is there an updated model in the pipeline or is this the Amflow effect?

Could be. I’m a bit of an outlier as I really don’t care about lots of power. Have a Levo and it’s plenty thanks, I like pedaling and I enjoy getting knackered going uphill as analogues still do it for me. But I do have the faff of a chain and gears in our uk mud island weather. So a belt an mgu and v low maintenance wins over huge grunt and chewing through drivetrains for me. I’m ordering an XL which seem more available so I’ll see how long it takes.

That's why I started saving and bought the CF11 when everyone was hyped about Amflow.

Crikey - you still sitting on that fence??
Just as an update and I whined and whinged about battery range - with the recent better weather and swapping out shredda's to tacky Chans over 30 miles easily.

@border304 - would you ever go back?
I've got two older Specialized bikes. I only keep the full fat for when my mate visits. I've been on the SL once since getting the Haibike, in order to run the battery down for winter. But nah never going back. I'll probably sell the SL. I do prefer the orange to pink though.

Think I need 30 minimum tbh, range is the thing that puts me off the SL bikes that are emerging like the TQ engined bikes

I am not fit, can't ride a normal bike, the drag is more with the pinion than my jam2 bosch motor but I ride without problem! Everyone mentions the whinning 1-4 gears, no one mentions the absolute silent 9-12 gears. I have more to worry about going up a cliff in 1-4 than the whine, as with the clunk. The clunk is scary the first time you hear it, but the 4th time you don't notice it. Real range is hard to say, easily 20m but that was on a flat circuit so motor was always on. The modes give a range after 100km of travel and they normally read 50+ km which I think is 30mils-ish. I was out with a fair few people today and I had the worse battery life - 20% and others had 30-35%. Battery probably due to the drag?
Spring - whats the height of the spring against a derailleur? I ride a lot single track with stones and not had any problems but think its all luck on spring / hanger?
As said previous, no bike is 100% - for me the motor queries don't bother me at all, the drag - well I manage to ride it, battery is a little concern but I can ride for 2hrs so think its ok? If an extender was brought out I would buy for sure, but I don't lose sleep over it.
Looks like range extender coming out in April, so about now then

Where did you see that? Specific for the haibikes? (must admit now I swapped tyres and it is drying out a little in UK getting mid 30's no problem now) but still be worth it for those big days.

Oh dash.... doesnt fit the haibike as don't have the square hole either side of the charging port.
From the web site.....

Note: You can tell if the Buddypack has compatibility with any e-bike model by looking at the indentations on the charging port (see picture 2).

Compatible socket seems to be available. 501772 or 550080. You would have to check if compatible with your frame

A bit of advice required in relation to the small wheel that sits below the carbon belt at the back. Somebody on todays ride noticed that it was not touching the belt and response from FB group was that there should be a 2mm gap between the wheel and the belt i.e. not touching the belt. Also it was suggested that the position of the wheel support arm should be straighter pointing down rather than the backward angle as shown in mine. I cannot find any useful official information so just looking for a consensus of opinion.

Yes, the snubber wheel should sit 2mm off the belt. It should not touch the belt as that will wear the belt and snap.
It should also be around 6 o'clock position. There is a pin on the arm that looks and feels it should sit to the left of 6 o’clock but actually it’s the opposite and sits to the right - hope that makes sense.
Shout with any queries.
Are you liking the ride??

Loving the ride. So much more agile than my Cube and continuing to smash my KOMs in Strava.

More aggro with Fit control app.

Navigated my way through MGU settings to try out the automatic gear change function but cannot get the damn thing to work even though I appear to have pressed all the right buttons. I have shown how it looks in manual and once I selected automatic but it has no effect when I ride the bike.

I did find a useful tip from Gemini on how to Force-Activate the Auto Mode by switching the bike on, press and hold the front lever of the right hand gear triggers for exactly 2 seconds which results in A+ appearing on the integrated Master Node Display on the bike. Not tested this yet but will later in the week.

Any suggestions why I cannot get the control app to actually control my bike?

Personally I don't use the feature but yeah just hold the gear change lever down to turn it on and off.
I've never used the app since I first got the bike. It kept switching to battery saver 80% charge. No issues since I stopped using the app. It's a good bit worse than the likes of Specialized for example.

I've always set the auto up in the app (I don't use but did have a play!!) and then press and hold lever and activates. It is pretty cool when riding road but useless on a climb, after all, it cant see in to the future!!
I had the 80% thing a few times but after saving FULL a couple of times it does save it.
I do use the follow me ride thing just for the basic stats.

I'll have a look tomorrow to see if you can set and keep the auto function on from the app.

I'm pretty sure the 80% thing is having the app open when the big is charging and pressing the left or right buttons on the bike screen. That changes the charge mode but also upsets the app.
At this point I just never use the app.

Last week I clocked 1000 miles in under 9 months which is pretty good for me - difinitly got me riding more. Funny that I've just ridden my old bosch Jam2 bike round the road to store it and god it's clunky. And the gears are so slow to move. Wont be going back, even if we are almost 50% under the Amflow power these days.

Same. I think I was the first person in Scotland to take ownership.
Personally I don't get the Amflow hype. Zero chain maintenance ftw.

Don't intend using automatic when out riding the trails but am interested to see how it operates. This bloody app is just so un-user friendly in my eyes.

Don't get me wrong - if amflow did an MGU motor with 150nm and all the (Jeremy Clarkson) Poooowwwwer, I maybe first in line, bank account allowing, but MGU over Nm - there is only one winner for me.

I've dialled boost back to 70Nm because I find that enough so an MGU with 80Nm or around that would suffice, although wheelies uphill using 100Nm would be fun!

Thought I'd chip in as got to demo a brand new one out the box lbike at weekend for a while and really enjoyed it was very impressed by the pinion gearbox, really liked how it worked and surprisingly how light and nimble the bike was, the guy was saying 30000km before a belt change!! Tried a little in auto on fire road climbs and downs wasn't to bad bi
Ut I preferred the manual shift, all I can say is what a great bike tho
