I wonder what criteria and terms are programmed in for the Drive system reporting ?? "Excellent" give the impression it's quite easy to be less than excellent .. like "OK" or "Yeah, it's working".

Does it work it's way down to "It's Fecked Mate".

This ofc is deliberate, there is at least another 2g saving there, plus a paintless bike would be pretty unique and there would be no stress worrying about paint issues, what’s not to love??
 
Now we've got august 2021 and still no delivery news.
Crossing fingers that it's ready to be a christmas gift !

There seem to be a couple of facebook.

Mixed reports on range/altitude. Overall within expectations - though that's my interpretation of their views ...

Most of the fancy display doesn't work (despite the delays which gave them time to develop and test). GPS doesn't work properly or at all. The system crashes - fortunately not stopping the motor working. OTA updates via the inbuilt 4g don't work and need a wifi connection. So basically the whole "connected" and free lifetime data for the bike are at present irrelevant.

Some paint issues - it come off - by design - to make the bike lighter. ..

Noise levels are somewhat higher than Forestal's proudly claimed "Whisper Quiet" which has pissed a few people off. Interestingly Forestal are continuing their weird customer approach (if you complain your a bad apple). With regard to the sound, they've released a video where it doesn't sound too bad - as they hardly pedal and have taken to calling anyone who complains as "Obsessive" :)

Sadly, they keep making stupid claims which have so far all been incorrect, be it spec, noise, range, delivery dates, delay reasons and so on and then spin it round that it's the people who complain are the problem. Rather than making legitimate honest claims and statements and everyone then being satisfied.

Box design was very impressive! My Orbea Rise was very well boxed, got bike shop to send out before they tampered with ? not quite on same level but pretty good! Not sure I liked the headset on Forestal bike, I am starting to think they are a bit like Sick bicycle co, not always coming through with what they claim! I hope I am proved wrong!

How entirely unpredictable - a bike with massive amounts of hype , and loads of proprietary tech doesnt live up to the hype - shocker!
